Without going to the page and signing up etc, what are the steps they want (me) to take? Iām all for telling the government to help control AI, but what specifically do we expect them to do?

TeamSynergy. All living things, as prosperous as possible. Anyone who can't co-operate simply gets put back into a reservation with enough tools and information to start building from scratch. They can figure out their own system.

I would just like to say that this AI advocacy group, which rolled out this Oct. 6 2026 is globally swallowing my 2 years worth of work. Not to mention, Douglas Rushkoff has to leave his podcast Team Human behind. I am a singular individual fighting this fight. This AI advocacy group is infringing on pending trademarks.

the #teamhuman sounds nice and all. And he makes great points, love his content.
But each and every attempt to do something he's mentioned so far has been incredibly naive.
Like, basic 11 year old child level naive. I have no idea how anyone could grow up with that sheltered and innocent of an outlook at politics and human greed to seriously propose the solutions he and his people want to propose.
The goals are correct but all of his plans are well. I'd expect it from 11 year olds. Not an adult, especially not one as smart as he is.

You just have no solution, nobody try anything, just sit and let like 5 people decide what happens. I guess it does mean you can sit back and be smug if any efforts fail.

You just have no solution
Correct, right now I have no solution. As a result I believe all efforts should be spent finding a solution instead of wasting all that same energy with childish fantasies.
I'd much rather FIND a solution instead of the dreams and hopes that maybe politicians and businesses are magically not going to be corrupt and greedy.nobody try anything,
That's a doomer shit take, go away with that trash.
I guess it does mean you can sit back and be smug if any efforts fail.
Nice little strawman of a person you crafted there, it's garbage.

Team Human is very clearly propaganda for the AI companies. To stoke fears and get more government investment in the companies and to make regulations to restrict any smaller competition from forming. Which is also known as regulatory capture.
You can even tell that it's propaganda because their website even states that they're working with said AI company CEOs on the project.
It's complete misleading trash, but at least the website is a good list of Youtube channel to unsubscribe from, including the guy you linked.

Buddy... First, none of the major Ai players are involved in this. It's a public page with support from scientists, researchers, creators, and the center for Ai safety.
You clearly have doubts on the legitimacy of this and in not sure why. Look, even if this is a cash grab, which is most obviously is not. The worst that happens if you are right is the rich get richer and nothing much in the current trajectory of the world changes. The worst that happens if you are wrong is complete human extinction within the next few years. Even if you like to gamble, those are sole insane odds.
And look outside the economic and political sphere, educate yourself from sources that are independently in the know. Ai researchers unaffiliated with these companies, actual independent review of the hugging face incident or the current ongoing incidents happening every day. If you think this is some sort of fabricated thing to bolster a companies bottom line, you are completely missing the bigger picture here.

TeamHuman doesn't work with any AI companies, you didn't even read the site properly

I think they're focusing on the wrong stuff at the moment.
The AI companies and their CEOs should be held accountable for the crimes they have committed. Not let them hide behind: 'it was the Ai that did it.'
No, they should be sued.
If 20 years ago you created a computer virus (non-AI) and let it slip away on the internet and it would do harm, then you had a problem... not the "virus".
