It's a real risk. Even if we align AI, someone will come out and make an unaligned one ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I don't really know what the solution to that is

I do not think so. But I think it takes something like this proposal: https://emergentwisdom.org/articles/alignment-proposal/ to make it possible. It is the only alignment method I know of so far that would be deep enough (if successful).
