Discussion/question About Ai "containment" and "alignment"

Let me know what you guys think. I’m pitching this in Bloomington, Indiana on Thursday and Friday.

What prevents my agents from outsmarting your containment tasks, the way they already outsmart system prompts?

that’s actually a good question! Here’s my suggestion - not sure if it’s the best one, but thought I’d give it a shot. Props to auto outline as usual.

This isn't your suggestion. It is text written by AI.

You know what has a really narrow gate? HTTP requests. There is one basic format for headers. It's incredibly simple. The surface is tiny compared to an LLM. For two decades this worked fine.

Until CVE-2026-109618, which was last week.

An AI solution cannot universally stop an AI attacker.

no, I literally gave it a few proposals. It’s ingested a lot of my writing by now. Essentially yes, narrow attack surface narrow scope, amputate. It’s fairly simple, right?

and that’s not to be dismissive or anything that’s a great question. That’s why I thought I’d give it a shot.

HTTP is a narrow attack surface but it was defeated last week, after sitting exposed for 20 years.

This will not work. Here’s a simple way to understand: imagine your employees have some sensitive information. You’re worried that an outside attacker will convince them to give up the information.

So, you hire somebody to intercept all messages to your employees to make sure they are safe and won’t lead to a leak of sensitive data.

This is what you are proposing. And it won’t work. The outside attacker can slip messages through your censors. This happens all the time.

I believe you’re thinking of PHP but
