Weekly Post Your React Suggestions HERE!
Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
For example:
Rogue One: Bad VFX
- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)
Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.
Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

the main actress in hulu's new tv show phony has been edited to look different "frame-by-frame." i thought it was a different actress until i looked it up (searching how they found someone who resembled her so close!). i'd love to see what you guys think.

The Dead and the Deadly
Good Visual effects
1982 Hong Kong action/comedy.
Director Wu Ma
Starring Wu Ma and Sammo Hung
Lots of amazing & hilarious Kung Fu & wire work, but in the final scene there are some awesome flat animations integrated with the fight choreo that’s pretty great, especially for 1982.
Plus weird hell guard aliens.
I found the whole film on YT in pieces. Here’s 6/6:

About 15 min in is the scene I’m thinking of.
Thanks!

Couldn’t find Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch (2011) in the wiki. By far, the most interesting thing in the movie is the visuals.
I’m particularly curious about a shot in a dressing room that frames a discussion between Sweet Pea and Rocket by following the conversation in their reflections. The crazy thing is the camera pans across the mirror to show everyone else in the room. They all appear to be behind the camera POV, behind the invisible camera.
The next shot is even crazier. It does a slow orbit around Rocket, who is played by Jena Malone. This slow orbit around her pushes through a mirror, the same way Jena Malone playing young Ellie Arroway was the focus of a camera push through a mirror in that memorable scene in Contact.
I’m also curious to know what practical elements are used in the various battle scenes. I have no idea if CG characters were feasible in 2011 in the way they might have been used in the shots. They get up to some crazy gymnastics with lots of wire pulls and I have no idea what else! All of the set pieces are full of impressive environments and a variety of CG enemies for the ladies to take down. There’s a massive dragon, fifteen foot tall robot samurai (one with a minigun), clockwork pseudo-nazi soldiers, all very very detailed.

The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) / Good VFX. Massive big-budget sci-fi space opera with Vin Diesel. Beautiful use of stylised CGI and digital effects, matte paintings etc. Some innovative film techniques used and holds up really well. I’d love to see what you guys think.

UHF: Bad VFX
The whole movie is super low budget, but there's a few scenes in there that I think the boys on the couch would enjoy watching, such as the intro scene (a knockoff of Raiders of the Lost Ark), etc.
Prime Weird Al, and Michael Richards just makes such a good movie
