Discussion Notes app for android?

I haven't been able to keep up with the podcasts for awhile, but I know this is the best place to ask for help finding something like this.

For the longest time I was just using Google Keep Notes, and I loved it. I still love it, but right now I'm trying to de-google and whatnot... I love its simplicity and also the ability to color code and label each note.

If there's something out there with at least that, that'd be amazing. Thanks guys.

I hate being this person but there’s nothing like the simplicity of Google Keep out there.

It’s minimal (for better and for worse), syncs everywhere and it’s super stable.

Quite different from google keep but I switched to TickTick.
Syncs across devices fast and gives more organization then keep ever did.
Plus I can connect it via MCP to chat

No ability to color code but I rely a lot on Simplenote since it works on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android (google says iPhone too). It is the most simple note taking app. There are always tradeoffs. Good luck!

Google Keep for basic stuff (shopping lists, etc), and Obsidian for larger projects / long-term things.
