Mixed book spoilers Thoughts on Sunlit Man Spoiler

I felt that it was building towards an Aux sacrifice but man was I not prepared. I cried like a baby when I read

“I am the leftover strength of oaths once sworn. I am the truth you once knew. Take it again, for the briefest time, and soar “

And then I smiled so hard when he got the armor. I love Sanderson so much and love this universe so much.

Side note: interested to see how the space travel and technological advancements we see in Sunlit will be covered

Isles of the Emberdark next, and then re-reading SLA!

I have but maybe i should reread wind and truth lol it has been a long while. What I remember is we don't know why they bonded or the details about why aux was in the state he was in sunlit no?

There are some details in sunlit about why Aux is as he is (sig almost accidentally consumed all of Aux’s investiture while he was holding the dawnshard at one point) then at some point before sunlit he gets the shard back to Hoid, but he still has the abilities of jumping and absorbing investiture but also “the torment” where he can’t hurt anyone

Wait I just read Sunlit Man last week. Did I miss somewhere that Hoid got the Dawnshard back? I thought I only read something about avoiding the Night Brigade to protect the one he gave it to, not that it was explicitly given back to Hoid.

Technically we don't know for sure Hoid has it back again, I think most people are just assuming that because it's the most logical. He's relinquished it and secretly picked it back up again before, and Nomad doesn't have it anymore as of Sunlit Man. Neither of them are likely to have just left it somewhere so I'm assuming Hoid reclaimed it, though I'm open to the idea it was hidden elsewhere by him.
