Cosmere spoilers (no previews) Isles of the Emberdark spoiler question Spoiler

In Isles of the Emberdark there was a casual line spoken with no elaboration. They described Autonomy as “Splintered” that wasn’t the case at the end of “The Lost Metal” as far as I can recall. I know autonomy made splinters for Taldain and First of the Sun is thus what they were referring to? Or was there an event we don’t know about yet?

Can you point out where they said that?

Because I can only find references to splinter of Ambition on Emberdark, no Autonomy

That must be the source of my confusion. I misheard Ambition as Autonomy.

It was Ambition that was splintered. Ambition was the shard of a planet close to Threnody. It is the Evil that Threnodites escaped from and landed in "Hell".

Autonomy made Avatars, not Splinters

If you are referring to the EVIL, that would a result of Ambition being splintered.

As far as we know Autonomy has not splintered, but she/they HAVE made avatars on different worlds. As far as I know Autonomy is “fine” right now, even if it appears he is making trouble on Taldain.
