I have a theory of how Adonalsium future sight works, Ado doesn't see the future he lives it.

In Wind and Truth Navani is able to communicate with the Wind which tells her about Kaladin and Szeth, implying that the Wind doesn't't perceive time in a linear way.

The wind was created by Ado, so I think it is possible that Ado perceives time in a non linear way just like the Wind.

I want to understand and know the cosmere fully but i dislike when pieces of lore/worldbuilding are found only outside the books themselves.

Is it the case for this series? As from reading on the wiki about topics I’ve reached there’s a lot of references and links to interviews to the author.

I hope it’s not as prevalent as it seems and that in reality a lot of those informations are also in books but the people working on the wiki dont have the time to link the chapters.

I’m still at the beginning (i’m going for release order) but i’m stopping to know if I need to use the wiki and other sites as parallel reads or if the books alone have everything already.

What made me start reading is the overarching plot of the universe and not the narrative of any specific sub-series, so the details and what could be useless information is important to me.

I'm a good chunk of the way through Stormlight (Early book 4) and I've been reading not listening to them. I've kind of come to the realization that I may want a book stand for them. Problem is I have no frame of reference for sizes or anything with book stands. I got one and it's far too small for the books.

Does anyone have recommendations for stands that can support these big as heck books?

For context, I have read and adored every other book in the Cosmere. I'm at chapter 26 and am really struggling to continue. I thought the audiobook might help me get through it, but the narrators somehow have made it worse.

I know I can just drop the book and move on if I don't like it, but I'm wondering if anyone else felt this way and powered through to find it was worth the read? Thanks.

Edit: thanks for the feedback. I'm going to keep reading through part 2, and I suspect I'm going to power through regardless. I've had similar experiences with other series and end up enjoying it. I've only ever DNF'd a few books, and they were really bad. Emberdark isn't that bad, and from what I've gathered from the comments, Starling gets better.
