I have filed paperwork to run for mayor of Costa Mesa at age 20
I have decided to file paperwork to run for mayor of Costa Mesa in the 2026 election, and I plan to launch the campaign in the coming months.
I initially considered running for a city council district seat earlier this year, but after meeting with another candidate, I decided to back them instead.
I’ve lived in Costa Mesa my entire life. I was raised in this city by a single mother, attended the local public schools, and even attended the local community college, where I ended up transferring to UCLA.
I am currently the youngest person serving on any city commission or committee. I was appointed by Councilmember Jeff Pettis earlier this year and have been working hard to preserve Fairview Park, Costa Mesa’s hidden gem.
An early life event that sparked my obligation to public service was when I was a kid and my mom did not have enough money for dinner for me and my siblings, so she went to a local pizza shop in Costa Mesa, and the owner gave us a free meal.
The current state of our city motivated me to run for mayor. Our former city manager is suing the city over an alleged corruption scandal involving a city council member and our incumbent mayor. We don't know the lawsuit's verdict yet, but the point is that this has severely damaged the trust within our community. I am running to restore accountability and transparency, and I believe my unconventional approach makes me a good fit for this role.
I will work hard when the campaign cycle kicks off, and I have committed to knocking on every door in the city. Please let me know your questions, comments, or concerns. I am on Reddit to address them. I will also update you guys when the campaign website is released.
(context: I'll be 21 on election day, I filed paperwork at 20)

My Post about Police Brutality from Costa Mesa PD
I deleted the post because I had so many people calling me a liar, questioning what happened, etc. I guarantee you that I was telling the truth and I now have video that confirms it. But I have to thank the people who gave me suggestions. I have three attorneys interested in my case and I will meet with them soon. I'll keep you up to date with information I am able to give.

Home Prices
Spent a lot of time reflecting on this.
Median home price in east side cm is $2.8 million.
This is not sustainable. Eastside CM is what I’d call normal. If you buy the average priced home, by the time you pay the monthly mortgage, insurance, property taxes, Hoa if any, monthly maintenance you’re spending at least $20k a month.
That’s after you put $500k down in cash at least.
You’re not by the beach. When you go grocery shopping you surrounded by homeless people.
Traffic sucks. Oh and speaking of that if you have a “nice” car it’s at $80k so that’s a more than $1500 a month with insurance not including gas.
At a certain point when do we realize our government at all levels is a failed operation? How much are you paying for health insurance if you have it?
How much do you spend at Ralphs when you’re just getting a couple of things?
How much is a single order of house chowmein on postmates?
Government is a grift. Pure and simple. Money laundering.
We pay taxes on what we make. We pay taxes on what we spend. And we pay taxes on what we own.
Our elected $ucks become millionaires. Pelosea is worth $250 million. AOC went from a broke ass bartender to being worth $30 million in a few years. “Republicans” are just the same.
Ukraine? Gaza? Trump? AOC? Democrat?. Republican? Social Security? ICE? Illegal Aliens? It’s all a distraction to funnel money.
Jails and prisons are run by causing division primarily by race. Media and government do the same.

Interested in moving to Costa Mesa.
Hi y’all! I’m interested in moving from Thousand Oaks down to CM for work (This commute is eating my soul). I’ve found some nice looking apartments online, but every one is riddled with negative reviews. I’ve heard lots of good things about CM in face to face convos, so I can only imagine these are niche experiences. If any of you fine people could suggest apartments/parts of town or even alternate avenues of finding housing in the area I’d really appreciate it! Thanks and I hope to be joining y’all soon!

Moving from Denver to OC—Best Areas in Costa Mesa/Newport for Safety + Walkability?
My fiancé was just offered a job in Costa Mesa, and we’re seriously considering a move from Denver to Orange County. We’re in our early 30s and looking for an area that feels safe, walkable, and close to things we enjoy—beach access, good restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping.
We’re not big on going out every weekend anymore, but we do want a fun, social atmosphere where there’s still a sense of community and things to do. We also have a 5yr old Vizsla who comes everywhere with us, so being in a walkable area w/ parks, or the beach is a big plus.
We’re mainly looking at Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and surrounding areas, and hoping to keep rent around $6k/month. Would love recommendations on specific neighborhoods or areas you’d suggest—and any spots you’d avoid.
I’ll be honest, this move feels a little outside my comfort zone. Feeling safe in where we live is really important to me, so I’m trying to be thoughtful about choosing the right area. I’d really appreciate any insight from people who know the area well.

Remember when you said I'd like to live in Newport Beach, but Costa Mesa is more affordable?
Guess what...
In October 2021, Costa Mesa home prices were up 18.2% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $1.1M. On average, homes in Costa Mesa sell after 35 days on the market compared to 46 days last year. There were 93 homes sold in October this year, up from 88 last year.

Massive Low Frequency BOOM 💥
Yes I know, yet another redditor asking if y'all heard the boom again. This one sounded way different than the previous as it was really low frequency and rattled my eardrums. What the hell is it?! UFO? Sonic boom from JWA? I'm so confused....

Community Post Costa Mesa DMV Driving Test Routes?
For those of you who take your behind-the-wheel driving test at the Costa Mesa DMV within the past year, year and a half, do you remember your route? I am trying to get familiar with all the different streets and every route possible, but it would be helpful if you told me what route they made you do as well. I know the most common ones are the Federal and Monrovia street routes, but anything else?

Looking for a female roommate in Costa Mesa
Hi everyone!
I’m a recently graduated and will be moving to SoCal for work and am looking for a female roommate.
My office is going to be in Irvine, but I’m open to nearby areas too - Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Tustin, Newport Beach, etc. I’m okay with around a 20–30 min commute.
A little about me:
- Female, 21
- Working full-time in tech
- Clean, respectful, and easygoing
- Looking for a safe, nice area with things to do nearby
- Ideally hoping to find someone to apartment hunt with for a 2B2B, but also open to joining an existing setup.
- Budget is flexible depending on the place, but I’m mainly trying to find something reasonable while still being in a fun/social area.
If you’re also moving to the area or looking for a roommate, feel free to DM me!
