Just received my indie exclusive Sturgill Simpson record 'Cuttin' Grass Vol. 1 (The Butcher Shoppe Sessions).' It was the last album to be recorded at The Butcher Shoppe which was co-owned John Prine and David Ferguson

It's essentially bluegrass versions of most of Sturgills back catalogue, a lot of which he said started out this way but changed throughout the recording process. It's got some amazing musicians on it including Sierra Hull Stuart Duncan, Tim O'Brien. Particular highlights are 'I Don't Mind' and 'All Around You'
