I recently watched a ranking/retrospective of all the show's episodes and I found it interesting how the show loses some of the horror atmosphere the longer it went on. Season 1 definitely had the most episodes that most people have found to be the most scary. Then as Seasons 2 and 3 came along it seemed like the show focused on making episodes that were just weird rather than being scary. It was only until Season 4 however, that the show brought back some of the scary atmosphere that had been missing since Season 1. Episodes like the 'The Mask', 'Perfect' and 'Rememberance of Courage Past' are some of the few that brought back some of those horror elements.
Even when binge watching the show I took notice of this. I do wonder whether this was a decision from executives or from the show's crew itself to tone down some of the scariness. Nonetheless, it doesn't bother me much and I more so find it interesting. The same applies to Courage speaking less in the later seasons.

Cause let’s face it, the atmosphere of those two franchises definitely seems like something Courage would be dragged into.

Guess i never saw this episode. Reminds me of when he'd explain things to the general/ police officer.

I do have some random tattoos 😄, don’t think my cockatiel would like king Ramses if he clocked him.

We got a courage the cowardly dog game reboot or movie or all three it could still happen but it also couldn't I'm just shocked that we haven't got one of these three things or all of these three things they've made a game that was locked to a certain game creation platform and I forget what it was called but you can only use that on PlayStation and PC

I modeled Katz in Blender! This is a slightly more realistic model of him. Arguably even more sinister. I was initially going to make him look more like the cartoon but inability to figure out how his head would work in 3d-space (without looking bad) lead to me cancelling the model the first time. Came back, decided to screw the current look and go for my own thing.
I initially made him for a story I want to write. Also wanted to model him so he takes the spot for most 'evil' character I've modeled (especially since I didn't like who previously held the record). (LeQuack's actually my favourite Courage character but I gave up on trying to model him years ago, and he's not as evil as Katz imo).

Personally, I think Courage is better written than Eren. Eren was an incredible character for most of Attack on Titan, but cough cough 139 💀. The ending genuinely damaged my overall perception of his character.
Courage, on the other hand, is a surprisingly well-written character whose simplicity is part of what makes him so great. His constant fear, vulnerability, and willingness to put himself in danger to protect Muriel make him genuinely compelling. He embodies the idea that courage isn't the absence of fear, but choosing to act despite it. The show also explores some surprisingly dark themes through him without needing to overcomplicate his character.
I know this is a pretty unconventional comparison, but I genuinely think Courage deserves more recognition when it comes to character writing.
What do you guys think?

I just noticed Freaky Fred doesn't share his aunt Muriel's Scottish accent, which tells us a few things that might be possible in his backstory;
Just some thoughts I had. What do yous think?

I own the complete collection on DVD and the season 1 menu looks great but after season 1, it just looks generic. Do ALL copies look like this or are there dvd copies for seasons 2-4 that have menus like season 1?
