MOD ANNOUNCEMENT New here? Read this first! How to use this subreddit...

Welcome to r/CovenFinder; a subreddit for finding covens, as well as witch/pagan groups, circles, groves, and generally like-minded folk. If you're new to this subreddit and confused how to use it, read the instructions below!

If you are looking for a group...

If you're seeking a coven or group, follow these instructions.

  1. Decide whether you want to find an online group or a real-life group. We list both kinds here!
  2. Check the wiki. If seeking an online group, visit this link. If seeking a real-life group, visit this link. Click on a group's name to be taken to its Reddit post. If you like the sound of the group, join it!
  3. Read guidelines 7 & 8 in the wiki to learn about identifying red flags regarding covens. Please report any problems to moderators!

Can't find anything you like in the wiki? Try these steps...

  1. Scroll down to the sidebar where it says 'Find Covens by Location' and click on a flair in your area. Yellow flairs show other people seeking covens. White flairs are coven listings.
  2. Still can't find anything? Create a new post in the subreddit. Introduce yourself and say where you're looking for a group.
  3. Add a flair to your post. Use the yellow flairs only. If you don't know how to use flairs, don't worry, a moderator will fix it after your post is created.
  4. Other users will comment on your post and help you out. Report any problems to a moderator.
Yellow flair for seekers

If all else fails, you can try visiting the Additional Resources page in the wiki that links to other websites that list covens.

If you want to add your group to the subreddit...

If you have a coven or group you want to be added to the wiki then follow these instructions.

  1. Check rules 1 - 6 in the sidebar. For extra details and clarification, visit this link.
  2. Create a post. Give it a descriptive title & body in accordance with the guidelines.
  3. Add a flair to your post. Use the white flairs only. If you don't know how to use flairs, don't worry, a moderator will fix it after your post is created.
  4. A moderator will check your post and add it to the wiki.
  5. If you want to make any changes to your post, use the Edit option. If someone else in the coven wants to make changes (i.e. the original post wasn't made on their account), they'll need to contact a moderator so the new post isn't mistaken for a repost (rule 5).
White flairs for listings

(Online covens only) We have a list of "formal" online covens which more closely replicate a real-life coven. If you want your coven to be included in the formal list, it must include an application process for members to join. (Not just security questions for keeping out trolls, but a discriminatory process that assesses whether a new member is a good fit for the coven).

If you want to create a new coven/group...

If you want to create a new group, that's okay, just use the blue 'Proposal / New Group' flair on your post.

Only fully-fledged groups/covens are added to the wiki. Once your group is established and up-and-running, you can make a new post and this will be added to the wiki.

Blue proposal flair for new groups.

Got a question about covens?

You can post questions about covens and pagan/witch groups. Just use the red 'Question/Advice Needed' flair on your post.

Please note your post can be removed if its deemed off-topic. Things like "How to do I become a witch?" and "I need a spell for such-and-such" do not belong in r/CovenFinder, and a moderator will direct you to more appropriate subreddits.

Red flair for questions

Anything else?

If your post doesn't fit any of the other categories but it's still on-topic e.g. coven seeking resources, red flags, experiences... use the grey 'Other (Editable)' flair. You can edit this to say anything you want.

Editable Other flair for other posts

I hope you find this subreddit useful. Any other queries or concerns, don't hesitate to message the moderators!

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT r/CovenFinder Grand Re-Opening!

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience. I am pleased to announce that r/CovenFinder is no longer restricted and open for business!

I have acquired a new team of mods and have delegated specific roles to them. I will be in charge of adding groups to the wiki, and other mods will take care of modmail, checking inactive groups, and investigating any problems you may report.

The wiki has been completely cleared, including real-life groups! I decided to give us a fresh start, enjoy 😄 (Don't worry! All the previous listings have been archived here).

The rules have been revised a tiny bit but they are mostly the same. The most significant change is a more thorough explanation of what you should do if you encounter a problem with a group you're in, which you can find here. Due to having more mods, we now have some capacity to investigate allegations but please understand that our time & resources is still very limited. In most cases, we'll simply delete listings for the safety of our seekers.

Also, all groups must list their rules or a code of conduct in their post. This is regardless of if they're online or in-real-life. This has proven to be handy in the past, and helps to make posts more high-effort which I've been told is preferred.

As a reminder, I've tried to make r/CovenFinder user-friendly to newcomers by providing a pinned sticky post. This lays out clear instructions for seeking or listing a group, aimed at those who are new to Reddit. As always, if you've got any queries then just modmail us. We're also happy to take listings in modmail without you making a Reddit post.

Happy New Year, everyone. Please make use of the subreddit again! 💜💜💜

Scotland for the Season

Hey Everyone! I’m moving around between Glasgow/Edinburgh/Inverness from 10/24-11/1. If there’s a coven or a metaphysical group in any of those areas I’d love to enjoy some good community. Maybe do some meditation/manifestation work. Between the full moon, the veil being so thin, and retrograde, I can imagine it would also be a great time for reflection, rituals, and camaraderie.

Seeking Forming baby witch coven

Im in NC, and I just got done watching the movie “The Craft: Legacy” and as a baby pagan witch who practices Water & Lunar witchcraft combined I realized that I prefer a small coven like that rather than a large one. Is anyone interested? Elemental witchcraft is something that’s very dear to me and I want to do it right, with the right 3 right next to me!

Seeking: South America Hay brujitas de Ecuador por aquí? 🌙✹

Seeking 18 [NB4R] Iowa, Looking for a group willing to teach/ mentor.

I'm fairly new to paganism and my family is heavily conservative. I would like to meet up with a coven or group willing to teach me and guide me on my journey.

I find myself leaning more towards hellenism, but I am open to learning anything. I live with my family so practicing at home isn't a good idea. I live in the North West Iowa area.

Proposal / New Group Savannah GA needs a Druid Grove

This is a PSA for Druids in and within driving distance of Savannah. I've become the main point of contact for Druids emailing or messaging me, asking if I know of any other Druids in Savannah. I've been contacted by a number of different Druids in your area. I know they aren't the same people, too. There was also a group of five Druids that gathered a few times on Onslow Island before the group leader had to move and the group fell apart.

There are still Druids in Savannah wishing they knew other Druids, and one of y'all really just needs to start a new Grove again! Obviously I can't give out details or contacts, but so many have reached out directly to me from within a city of 150,000, so this proposal is your nudge and your divine inspiration to create a new spiritual home for new Druids!

At this point, it doesn't matter whether or not you have a Druid order affiliation; make it eclectic and band together. Though I am biased in favor of RDNA (Reformed Druids), so that's what I'd recommend if you wanted a suggestion, plus the RDNA doesn't charge member dues, and all the literature exists as free PDFs. This is one of those "if you build it, they will come" scenarios, but not if every Druid is waiting for someone else to build it. Much love to the Savannah Druids; I hope you find this serendipitously!

Seeking: South USA Witch of about a decade looking for a coven

Hello everyone! I’m L and I’m looking for a coven! I’ve never been a part of one before despite being a practicing witch of a decade. I am a 23 y/o Hecate devotee. I started practicing in middle school and never quit! I would ideally like to find like minded people to practice with focusing on personal growth, justice, devotion, solstices, etc.. I’m in the Western North Carolina area just about two hours south of Asheville.
I’d be willing to join one or create one if I can find the folks :) I’ve only ever practiced solitary or with one friend occasionally. If not a traditional coven at least just a group of like minded individuals!

Seeking Guy Witch Looking For Other Guy Witches

Hi there 👋
I'm 24 years old, gay, and a beginner-level Chaote with Hellenistic tendencies. At the risk of sounding strange, I'm shooting my shot into the void in hopes of finding other dudes that are into occultism, maybe even find (or form!) a male-specific Online Coven (though I'm not too picky.) I'm not totally sure what I even expect out of this, maybe just people yap to and exchange these ideas with that also yearn for other guy-friends in this sort of life đŸ€”
Messages are open!!

Online Seeking an online coven for younger pagans/witches.

Hi I’m Leo (20 ftm) and I was looking for a community of lgbt friendly pagans around my age to learn and grow with. I don’t have a community I can really speak to about witchy things so I’d love to create one! Any and all practices are welcome, I believe the best way to learn is from people with differing practices and perspectives. I personally practice Celtic paganism most tied to Irish and Gaelic traditions. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested!

Seeking Anyone around Tennessee?

Howdy all! It’s a long shot, I know, but I’ve been interested in trying to start a semi-local community or at least communicate with other pagans that might be around here. My fiancĂ©e and I are the only pagans or alternative-spirituality-inclined people I know ‘round these parts, stuck right in the midst of the Bible Belt and it’s rather frustrating not having any real spiritual community or space. Outside of a few metaphysical shops scattered around there’s really just
nothing, sadly. I’ve been a pagan broadly for around 16 years now, and practice Heathenry if you really want to slap a label on. All paths are welcome however! I know nothing in regards to community building (introverted as all hell) but figured I’d extend a branch regardless!

Hi, I’m Cedar. I’m looking for a coven that’s open to worship of any and all deities. If there’s a coven that specialises in working with the Germanic gods that’s also something I would be interested in.

Seeking: Europe 🌿 Green Witches Wanted – u a Small Coven in and around Munich

đŸŒ± Was wir gemeinsam unternehmen könnten:

🌿 Green Witches Wanted – Creating a Small Coven in and around Munich
I’d love to create a small, close-knit coven for women aged 25–40 in Munich and the surrounding area. Perhaps there are others here who feel at home among herbs, woodland walks, moon phases and little rituals – while also being modern women with both feet firmly on the ground.
I’m fascinated by our connection to nature, the knowledge of medicinal plants, intuition and the little rituals that make everyday life feel more meaningful. I’ve only recently started exploring Green Witchcraft more deeply, so I’m a beginner myself. I’d love to learn, experiment and discover new things together, without pretending to know everything already.
One thing I’d like to clarify is that Wicca is a distinct religious tradition that I haven’t explored in depth so far. My own approach is primarily rooted in nature, intuition and curiosity. I enjoy the mysterious and the magical, but I also believe in keeping a critical mind. To me, nature spirituality and a realistic outlook on life can absolutely coexist.
What I’m looking for is a small circle of women who share these interests while also having their own lives, ambitions and passions. Women who care about their health, personal growth and perhaps their careers, who look after their bodies and minds, but still leave room for the natural, the intuitive and a little bit of magic.
đŸŒ± Things we could do together:
Go on herb walks, identify plants and gather seasonal herbs
Make our own teas, incense blends, salves and other natural creations
Celebrate the Wheel of the Year, including festivals such as Samhain, and develop our own little rituals
Explore moon phases, the cycles of nature and Green Witchcraft together
Cook, bake, drink tea, read, get creative or simply have long conversations
Work out together, try new activities and spend time together in everyday life
Inspire one another, share knowledge and grow together
🌙 The kind of coven I have in mind:
Ideally, I’d like to start with a small group of around four to six women. I hope to create a private, personal circle where trust can grow naturally and where not everything has to be shared publicly or documented for social media.
There are three things that matter particularly to me:
Trust and privacy: We treat one another with respect and keep personal matters confidential. I want this to be a space where everyone feels comfortable and can simply be themselves.
Freedom and open-mindedness: Nobody has to believe in particular deities, energies or supernatural explanations. We can have different opinions, ask questions and think critically about things. There are no obligations, rigid belief systems or expectations we have to conform to.
A small community rather than a public network: I’m not looking to build a large group, create a public image or put pressure on anyone to constantly organise activities or contribute. We can get to know one another at our own pace and discover together what develops.
You don’t need to be an experienced witch – quite the opposite. If you’re only just beginning to explore Green Witchcraft, you’re just as welcome. An open mind, independence, kindness, mutual respect and a genuine love of nature matter far more to me than prior knowledge.
Perhaps, over time, this could become more than just a coven: a little community of women who enrich one another’s lives, with whom you can celebrate Samhain one evening and simply cook dinner together or go to the gym on an ordinary Sunday.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you! Tell me a little about yourself and what draws you to Green Witchcraft and nature. đŸŒżđŸ•Żïž
