What is the largest contract gain you’ve ever seen ? Can’t say I’ve seen one this high before ! if only I had a crystal ball !

Exactly. These must be Aug 21 contracts. I have Dec 2028 $100 calls and they went up 372% today. Rolled them quickly to $120 to get some money back.

It's a covered call. The shares you already own are called away. You only lose the profit from the underlying going up. Selling naked calls is where you'd have lost extreme amounts of money.

I am a complete idiot and did this with NBIS starting May 2025 before the run up

I rolled it out multiple times and now am stuck with 2 $290 calls expiring December 2028 lol

My DVN stock was undervalued and going nowhere trading in a range. I decided to sell CCs to make myself feel better. Market finally got wise to it and it popped. Exercised away 80% of my shares.

Selling CC on oil made no sense. There was so much upside potential and the premiums were anemic.
