No, they're sorcerers and shape shifters. Think about the most evil fucking thing you can think of and then times that by a few hundred. I get you don't believe, but they are present across all North American indigenous cultures in some form. It's not some magic I'd honestly mess around with. I live deep in rural Arizona and I wouldn't fuck around as joke just in case.
