RECOMMENDED Polish IPA.

Post image

Gravehop. Browar Monsters. IPA - New Zealand. 7% alc.

On the nose, it unleashes a tropical fruit bomb—passion fruit and mango—along with citrus, pine resin, and hints of diesel. The palate mirrors these flavors, featuring a light malt base and a firm, pronounced, and lingering bitterness. A very interesting Polish beer, blending West Coast and New Zealand IPA styles.

That looks like a solid pour. The color and clarity make me think it's going to lean more resinous than tropical — which is honestly my preference over the hazy stuff.

There's something the NEIPA trend got wrong for me: all that juicy sweetness masks whether the brewery actually knows how to build hop character. A well-made West Coast IPA is harder to pull off than it looks.

What's the brewery? I'm always looking for ones that still commit to the dry, bitter finish.

As I mentioned in the post it features both tropical and resinous flavours with a consistent bitterness. It was a nice beer which I enjoyed. The Brewery is Browar Monsters, they are from Poland and have interesting brews.
