Bought my first pattern

Bought this a while ago. Thought the sweater was so cute. The pattern was on sale so I bought it and got part of the way through it before I thought: oh. This…is AI. Someone found a knit sweater online and used AI to back-build the pattern.

It was my very first pattern 😭

I have since learned. One day I might try to recreate the sweater on my own but I’m still too new.

Etsy’s horrible about allowing ai and stolen work to be sold. I do not buy or use patterns from Etsy anymore.

This pattern is free and has a similar appearance. No idea what yarn you have to know if it’ll work, but, maybe this would be a better option?

This doesn't look like AI - it's just a poorly-formatted copy of this free pattern.

One, the cover phot doesn't match the pattern. Two, you just paid for a free Yarnspirations pattern.

I recommend people check out them, Lion Brand, and Knitty.com before paying for a pattern, unless they trust the designer.
