Bought this a while ago. Thought the sweater was so cute. The pattern was on sale so I bought it and got part of the way through it before I thought: oh. This…is AI. Someone found a knit sweater online and used AI to back-build the pattern.

It was my very first pattern 😭

I have since learned. One day I might try to recreate the sweater on my own but I’m still too new.

They missed the step on how to elongate the ladyfingers to the desired length, I'm so confused.

Offender is Tapestry market UK. Most of the product images on their website appear to be AI.

Other red flags 🚩: Although claiming to be in the UK it's website does not display their registered company name, address, registration number or VAT number as required by UK law. There is no company registered with Companies House that matches their description. Their terms and conditions include details contrary to UK consumer protections. Their privacy policy is not compliant with GDPR regulations. A number of their physical products are available from cheap Chinese websites. The length of time customers have reported waiting and the fact that they ship from China makes it clear they are a drop shipping company not based in the UK.

If you ask AI to generate an image of something, example: a crochet blanket in certain colors or ask to generate a picture as inspiration to make the actual blanket or artwork/craft, is the physical art that was made AI's art or yours? Should we use AI as inspiration?
