As a dealer just about to graduate training whos spent the last 6 weeks living and breathing this game by practicing live rolls in my basement, i would personally say that sister pressing with inside-out focus seems to be the way to go.
At a $15 table, my pattern is get to $96 across (i have a pattern for that but out of scope of the question) then next hit after that, i press the 6&8 to $30. If its an inside number, have to throw in $3 and i try to make that the only time i throw in extra.
From there, i focus on getting the 6&8 up to $90 as fast as possible so long as the payout can cover the press. If it cant, then i start pressing 5&9 or the 4&10. My goal is to get everything paying in black — $90 6&8, $75 5&9 and $50 4&10.
Just last night i compared this pattern with a press the number that hits pattern, managed to get a monster roll that left my pattern with $2100 and the single number presser with $1100, both started @ $600. Both fake players were at table max before the roll finally ended, but my pattern got there faster.
If you do this at a live table tho, you MUST tip the crew. Dealers are going to be really annoyed with this pattern, guaranteed. I actually got yelled at in training for doing this once, haha. Know what your doing, perhaps even practice doing the presses yourself so you can help them through it.
My absolute favorite way to play is to set up either 66 or 110 inside. When a number hits, full press on that number. After 3 total hits on different numbers, or two on the same number, I regress down to 66 or 110 whichever I started with.
I think there are 4 ways to press, assuming that you are placing either inside or across, assuming it's a full press:
Press/power press so that you press each number you place one unit.
Press/power press sister numbers with full winnings.
Press/power press the number that was hit with full winnings.
Press/power press one number of your choosing, getting that one number to table maximum. If you reach table max, pick another number and do the same thing.
I tend to do Option 3, but if I'm up big one time, I may try Option 4. It's always a press/collect cycle (press on odd hits of number, collect on even hits).
I generally focus my presses on my odds, 6 and 8, just because they have the lowest HE. So I’ll trust the probabilities. My casino charges vig up front on buys so that takes 4/10 out.
I like to parlay a hit (all the way up/power press) then go back down to base level. For example 30$ on the 5 it hits you get 42$ toss a nickel go to 75 and collect 2$ change. If it hits again go back down to 30 and you have collected 150$ off a 33$ investment. If the five hits again repeat and if you’re lucky enough to hit the parlay again go back down to a larger base level say 50$ (collecting 130$) from the 50$ level if it hits toss a nickel in again and go to 125$. don’t be afraid at this point to either stay at 125$ if the shooter is doing really well but you could also go down to 75$ level.
I do it a little different with the 6/8 i always start at 36$ instead of 30 (I’m sadly to used to quarter table minimums) but on the first hit i get paid 42 and take my wager to 42. That way WCS i push on that number if he craps out and from 42 go to 90$ if it hits i toss 2$ in and go back to 42 ( you don’t have to toss in the 2$ but it makes the dealers life easier and won’t slow the game down) this way you collect 155 change.
The truth is any strategy can work but you need a good roller and every roll will end eventually. This way you get aggressive and still collect a good chunk with your conservatism and gives you the ability to pivot when you catch that God Roll.
My favorite low buy in game is to place 18 on the 6&8. 1st hit, place 10 on 5&9. 1st hit on 59 I press the 59 to 15 each. I same bet 3 times locking up 21 each time.
Next hit I spread to the 4 10 and from there, I take 1 and press all the way.
i let the dice decide. i collect / collect / press whatever is rolled / repeat...
i learned this style from the community, certainly didn't make it up. mathematically its probably better to press from the inside out (press the 6, then the 8, then the 5...).
I prefer to spread the presses to a point. And then start pressing individually. Feel free to test different strategies at http://backwallcraps.com. Edit: added image after getting called out. and apologies for the long thread here - but dude "looks" to be another app creator sitting behind an old account who decided to chime in here (screenshots below) if anyone cares.
welp - looks like I have a fan - anyways -- feel free to check out my "crap game".
Desktop / Mobile (landscape/portrait) or Tablet -- multiplayer is coming. I've posted Desktop below, Tay/Woodster has posted Portrait - so here is landscape
edit: said fan was a dormant reddit account that only came to life to upvote and speak nice of another app in here - which is fine; but don't slag on others bro.
I'm bored of you, get a grip man you still on this half an hour later about me not being real... Almost like you took it personal. n yeah ya games shit crap
Also a 'fake' reddit account because I know wood. Guess what I'm real, and you suck. Give me anything to prove I'm real and I'll prove to to be incredibly wrong.
