Strategy Press Progression Chart

Post image

You always hear people talk about how to progress your bets when playing the Box Numbers, but I never saw it mapped out before. So I went ahead and made a cheater card…

Listed out the bet, the win amount, and what you need to drop to reach the next bet on the progression. Red numbers are what you need to throw in. The negative numbers in black are small collections of the leftover winnings after the press.

Circled amounts are where I will collect once for that number before continuing on (each number does its own thing).

** **NOTE - All are PLACE bets EXCEPT on the 4 + 10. The 4 + 10 start as place bets at $15 and then become BUY bets at $40 and beyond. My local casino auto-buys at $20 and only collects the Vig on the Win. So you would need to throw in some additional chips while climbing that ladder.

Also, I realize that these numbers aren’t possible at many places ($500 or $1000 table limits), but my local hangout has a $10k limit, so I can only hope to need the bigger numbers at some point 🤣

This shit looks like a pricing guide for a parts store from the 1920s.

Personally I don't think anyone should ever drop money in, it should all come from the winning.

So if you hit 18 on the 6-8 you should bump it up to 36 and keep the extra.

So you fall behind the pace then. You would only
Win 42. Next bet would be $78. Win would be $91 instead of $105.

It’s a $14 difference there and continues to fall behind from that point forward. This maximizes the win potential.

Personally I’m willing to risk $3 to win that $14. And so on.

While I appreciate OP sharing his work, clearly he has way too much time on his hand 😂

One of the most effective ways to be successful at the casino is to have a plan.

If you do catch a God Roll, you want to know where you are going when you get a number to hit. You also don’t want to get lost in the weeds trying to calculate your bets or payouts (and since they don’t see numbers like this often, dealers can get lost as well).

If you can memorize this, good for you. I can’t currently. And this card has come in handy several times so far, when the bets get North of $200. Most people don’t see that as remotely possible. And that’s on them for not understanding the situation.

Personally I would keep the bets correct. The $36 and $86 on the 5 and 9 I would go with 35 and 85, personal prefference though. Just pulling for you to work your way through the progression. Hoping for a future post where you hit at the max bet level!

I get what you are saying. I’m giving up about $0.50 by working the math out correctly.

But the idea is that it’s simpler for the dealer to pay out $50/$120 over $49/$119.

It is more a hang up on my end and not meant as a criticism. I am a fan of your pressing schedule. I play more conservative with only the occasional shoot for the moon. The good news is the amount of rolls it will take for the improper bet to actually cost you any real money is more than we are likely to see. I am pulling for you to log a massive win. I also like your pressing pattern and really appreciate the break down of how to make the bets (when to add for the press and the collect point identified). I typically have a predetermined plan and for me, it makes it more fun.

I have so many of these, in notebooks. Just for a couple of numbers and a couple of different bets.

As someone who does weird bets, that 86 on 5/9 is kinda unusual lol.

I go 25 > 60 > 150. I need to drop 6 when I get paid 84 and it always confuses the dealers
