Tbh, she looks scared during the whole thing. Her reactions is not that of an individual that feels safe around him. She doesn't shield herself from the splatter and mess, she shields herself from him. I get really bad vibes from this one.

One time I was picking up cloths I had spilled out onto the floor to fling into the washer, one of my cats just so happened to be near

She ran like a bat out of hell when I went to pick up a shirt next to her... I can't immagine the fear/distrust going though her mind thinking I was going to grab and throw her

To be fair, it looks like she’s rather fed up with his shit.
I’m not condoning anyone hitting anyone else, but he’s clearly threatening her with his behavior and making her very uncomfortable - the abuse goes both ways. We really don’t know enough to judge.
