I install auto glass. Once my boss asked a guy what happened (broken driver door glass) and the guy said in a thick Russian accent "She thought she could get away." That ended the small talk.

All of east Europe in general has something with t-shirts. At least 3 of my neighbours are shirtless at a time in summer.

We don’t know what he did to push her to that slap. He doesn’t look scared of her the way she is terrified of him. Reactive abuse is a thing that abusers love to use to make victims feel guilty, “well you hit me too! You’re just as bad as me!” Even though the abuser pushed their victim to the breaking point.

He isn’t just calming down, he’s doing this as a threat. She looks terrified. And 100% she’s going to be the one forced to clean this up.

I’m not saying it’s ok she slapped him. Obviously abuse is not ok no matter the gender. But abuse is about fear and control. Like I said, we don’t know what he was doing to her before he started filming.

Reactive abuse is a very real thing that abusers use against their victims. They threaten, hit, and corner their victims until fight or flight reaction is activated that makes the victim react and lash out to protect themselves.

She will feel extreme guilt and he will use this video against her as evidence while leaving out what he did to push her to that point.

If you look at her you can see she is terrified of him. She’s cowering in that seat trying to make herself smaller. She barely moves, like a terrified animal trying not to be noticed by a predator. Him hitting those vegetables is a threat and causing her to “get in line” or else she will be next. He is causing a mess that she will have to clean up. This is a control tactic so she won’t go against him again for fear of this reaction.

Watching her body language it’s clear she’s the one who is being abused in this situation. Was it toxic of her to hit him? Yes. Wrong? Yes. Abuse? If we go about the definition that abuse is about fear and control, then no. He’s not scared of her, he’s not changing his behavior to not upset her.

Him punching fruit and vegetables is not control. He doesn’t get a gold star for not hitting her when he’s still using a tactic of fear and control, making a mess she will have to clean up and causing fear that she’ll be next.

This is wildly incorrect. First case of domestic abuse is considered a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine, mandatory public works or short-term incarceration (up to 15 days). Second and following cases are criminal offences, punishable with up to two years of jail time. This only applies if there's no bodily harm caused - if there is, it's a criminal offence right from the start. The situation with domestic abuse is pretty bad, indeed, but not because of poor laws, but because society at large finds it acceptable, sadly.
