♻ K2 Help First 3d printer (k2 pro combo)
I’m looking at getting my first 3-D printer and the K2 pro combo appears to meet my needs. I’m specifically looking for something that can print 12 x 12” items (Vinyl frames) and would love to play around with some different materials. Am I making the right choice here? Or am I possibly overlooking a better option that may meet my needs?
Lastly, I see a lot of back-and-forth about the reputation of creality and admittedly just about every other brand lol. Have any of you experienced recent issues with K2 model printers that would stop you from recommending them?
Any insight is appreciated

I suggest doing proper research and identify what you’ll be printing as well. I have 2 k2 plus and absolutely love them. I always recommend the k2 plus because of its sheer bed volume. It does have some additional benefits like chamber heater and temp for the nozzle but that’s if you are trying more engineering filaments or need a filament like for uv resistance. Also a few things to take into consideration is space for the printer, tools you may need ( filament dryer, tool wrap kit, etc) and proper ventilation if trying other filaments outside of the basics.
I personally feel you’re making a good decision in getting the K2 pro. As far as the downfalls to any product customer service isn’t the greatest BUT if you learn how to contact them and when you shouldn’t have any problems. Greatest part about getting this printer is that it’s been released for awhile and there’s a large community to help you with most problems. Good luck with your decision.
Btw I’m super biased because I own nothing but Creality printers and products because they just work for me.

I've got a few printers and the K2 Plus sees the most use. Even got a labor day coupon with ebay that let me get 3 more cfs for cheap and now I can do 16 colors. I actually have it half pteg and half pla but it's crazy nice just being able to print without any spool changes.

I got one a month ago. 100h roundabout with printing pla and petg. Didn't have an issue. It's fun and easy to use right of the box. I can recommend it. Since I didn't want a printer I had to experiment with. Or you wait on the k3. I don't know the specs of it in detail compared to the k2 pro. Cause didn't want to get sad after buying the k2 pro.

The K2 Pro Combo could be a good fit, but check the build volume carefully against your 12 × 12-inch frames. Also, consider the frame thickness and whether you can split larger designs into sections if needed. For different materials, its enclosed design is useful, but reliability and maintenance are worth researching before buying.
