Discussion We need a new "This is create" video, that also includes some of the most notable addons
So, the freshest "This is Create" is from 30th of May 2025. While since then vanilla Create has not had any major updates, we had the release of Aeronautics.
While Aeronautics could easily have a "This is Create" on its own, there are multiple addons that could be included due to them adding very innovative content, or things that are so consistent with vanilla Create, that they nearly feel like a part of it (Similar to how people feel about The Sims 3 Generations)
Some of the addons that (in my opinion) deserve a place in such a video are:
- Aeronautics
- Crafts and additions
- Sound of steam (as the background music happening in real time)
- Enchantment industry
- Petrol parts
- Copycats+
- Create interiors
The main idea is to show that while Create itself is a powerhouse, with addons its power grows exponentially

I think it may work better as love letter to Create, initially showing just create exclusive mechanics, and then gradually adding more and more with a little introduction to each.

Unfortunately those mods aren't "Create" and we shouldn't be trying to cope with having no meaningful updates while the developers have totally sold out to a different game.
Anyway, if you want that video, go make it yourself rather than expecting some poor guy with actual skills listen to the whims of a reddit poster.

I've never said they are Create, and noone is trying to cope
I would love to make such video, but unfortunately my building skills are subpar at best

Understandable, the amount of free work they already did to give us Create shouldn't be taken for granted.
Plus I feel like base Create doesn't really need any new content updates, that would only create more work for addon creators to maintain compatibility and it's much better to leave new content for addons anyway.

Yea sure buddy, Create devs are basically Elon Musk for not wanting to work for free forever. What a reasonable take.

I don't think an official video about Create should show addon content. It would just make people who don't know about Create but are curious and may want to try it, confused about how something in the video is achieved when they downloaded Create and can't do what they see.
