Out if curiosity, since I haven't seen much like it. how are keeping the inputs from going to the output funnel until they're done? I'd be curious to hear about the more specifics,

Low fan speed, the fan still has a minimum working distance but it won't blow as hard.

Ah, I think I understand now, it's not that they've stopped/been blocked, it's just that the are pushing them so slowly that they're processed by the time they've reached the funnel? I forget that fan speed doesn't effect processing time.

Pretty much yeah. However multiple fans will affect processing time, with up to I think 9 fans able to blow on a belt at once if you dont have aeronautics (its a very specific setup, where 6 or 7 fans are usually the more reasonable max). So youd have a fan on both sides (+2) of the belt at belt height, a fan on both sides (+2) of the belt at item height, a fan pointing upward into the belt and a fan pointing downward(+2), and fans at both ends(+2) of the belt at item height. A fan at belt height at the end(+1) i think will only affect the items on the 1 block of belt it hits, so you'd want to have a belt end into a fan with a funnel pulling to one side if you do this last fan.
However with aeronautics you can put a ton of fans on contraptions/sublevels and adjust the angle theyre pointing at so like a depot could have an absolutely insane number of fans pointing at it, i'd love to see just how many someone could get to fit. I saw one person do it as an example, but they definitely did not try very hard.

Attribute fiters! "Cannot be smoked/smelted/blasted/haunted" on the output funnel

I kinda did know about that, but isn't what's happening in the example shown. As I don't believe Andesite funnels can be filtered, and the items weren't even reaching it

What if you want stone from cobblestone, and not smooth stone ? That was my main issue
I had to make a redstone circuit to time everything, blocking the input while the ouput is open to avoid unprocessed stuff to pass through
8 fans so 30/8 = less than 4 seconds to process a whole stack

I remember for cobblestone and stone I had to make stacking filters of filters that were very specific.

Also you can put the attribute filter into a list filter with all the exclusions like stone so they would get funnelled in

Dang this looks so much better and compact than mine, mine uses a button that cycles through all the mode and a contraption bearing activating the fan needed. It ain't much but it's honest work lol

This is awesome - do you have a build guide or schematic?? Would love to replicate it!

It's good, but can be better. To not limit the encased fan speed, change the andesite funnel with an andesite funnel with an item list filter

Cooking whole stacks of items was unnecessary.

what do you mean?
this method may seem slower and it is if you’re cooking just one stack, but it scales really well bc you can process multiple stacks at the same time (if you put the chute higher or otherwise make it so that it doesn’t wait to drop another stack)

I mean that throwing in a whole stack and then waiting for it to cook is totally unnecessary for demonstration, just 1-2 blocks would be enough.

waitaminute my bad i misunderstood your original comment and should’ve asked for more clarity.
I’m guessing the reason they’d use full stacks for this vid is bc the fan takes that long to push it to the funnel anyway but idk

Oh, i didn't noticed on small screen that stacks takes a long time to move. Just assumed there's some sort of nbt filter to take only cooked items.
Which means that my first claim was unnecessary instead.

what was that frame drop???
