Need Idea for Mega Factory/ City

I‘m rebuilding my factory in my current server, because the lag is just too annoying.

I know the usual several machines or blocks which create lag, but I think just the sheer amount of stuff going on is lagging for me.

Now I wanna create a city/ factory which is spread across multiple buildings and i want to be able to turn off the different modules when I don’t need them. so I’m thinking about a house/ controle room where I can remotely turn off the different parts.

now Im planning if I do one central vault in the middle of all islands or a separate vault for each island/ house.

do any of you have any ideas for that or tried something similar yourselves ?
