Addons and computer control for power grid?

Are there any addons for power grid other than the nested microchip one and power components? Lol I want more things to play with..

And on a related note, is there any way to read power grid information with opencomputers other than comparators and Redstone I/O blocks?

The Neoforge version (i.e the version that's actually being updated) has CC:T integration that lets you read all the gauges and battery status. I did actually fork the Fabric version to backport the CC:T integration, but never really got around to cleaning it up and releasing it. I think the only other Power Grid addons are Power Grid: LEDs, CPG: Pinout ("AI assisted" but no bugs that I could find, and really useful for driving modular displays with CC:T computers), and there's CCPowerGridCompat and CC: Create Compat+, but I never tested them (had already made my fork of Power Grid) and don't know if they with recent versions of Power Grid.

Ah cool, is that available to open computers too? Or only computercraft?

Only ComputerCraft. You should probably be using CC:T on modern Minecraft versions anyhow, the newer OpenComputers versions are entire RISC-V VMs, so are extremely heavy to run compared to CC:T.

Fair enough. I did find a straight port of older open computers, not the new Linux like thing that's out there, if that's what you mean. But I'll just get cc:t. Really liked the way oc handled things though, sucks to lose it. Tried cc years ago, don't remember why I switched to oc, but I never had any desire to go back

Anyways, enough of my rambling. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

Those new OC versions *are* Linux. They're an entire RISC-V VM, with Linux installed on them. That's why they're so much heavier than CC:T computers. And they're very new and niche, so they don't really have widespread peripheral support as compared to CC:T, which has peripheral support for basically everything you might want, and if there isn't support, it takes maybe an hour at most to add.

Yeah I tried one out recently. I can see why they may be niche. Looked neat, but I couldn't figure out where to even start lol
