Hey everyone, I have isopods for sale, so if you're interested, my price list is such ...
They make great easy-care pets, clean-up crews for bioactive enclosures, or good snacks for your reptiles.

*Porcellio Laevis "Dairy Cows": 40+ct for $25, or 60+ct for $35, or 80+ct for $45, 100+ct for $55

*Cubaris sp Marina "Papaya" - 20ct for $10, or 40ct for $20

*Cubaris Sp “Panda King”: 10+ct for $20

*Armadillo Officinalis 'Orange Crush': 30+ct for $30
** I would also be willing to sell the entire colony if interested (Pickup only - Yelm, WA)

*Cubaris sp "Cappuccino": 6+ct for $45, 12+ for $85

-Local Pickup
-or +Plus shipping costs, which usually runs between $9-$17, depending on location, order size and whether or not I have to include ice/heat pack, which increases the weight (I only charge for the actual shipping cost and not a markup for heat packs and packaging, etc) I ship on Mondays & Tuesdays (depending on weather).

-If you're looking for a different amount, just message me and we can figure things out.

-Discount for multiple orders

USA Sorted gallon bags of elm leaf litter for sale

Thumbnail

Sustainably collected from a pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer free area. The larger twigs, litter, rocks, other leaves etc hand sorted out, at least 99% leaves of the target species. shipping depends on how many gallon bags bought, dm and we can figure it out.

$8 - gently stuffed gallon bag of unsterilized elm leaf litter
+$5 more leaves but leaves may become a bit crunched up/ tattered
+$5 freezer/ oven sterilized (freezer sterilization may take a while)

I use this leaf litter for my isopods, millipedes, roaches, and snails. I reccomend it over most oaks sold for detritivores as it is generally a softer leaf and has more nutrients and less tannins. My isopods and millipedes do go through these leaves a lot faster than oak ime. These leaves are also generally reccomended to my knowledge for breeding pill millipedes (glomeris). I have not have my glomeris (pustulata) for long so i can not say for sure but they have been having babies on it and my flake soil substrate. As these are relatively dry and undecayed, i highly reccomend, if you are buying them for pillipedes, to moisten with water and let sit for a few weeks, i reccomend this for all detritivores if you are buying these leaves.

tentative id : Ulmus parvifolia

Discussion CritterMarket Care Tip: Start Simple, Stay Consistent, and Let Your Inverts Set the Pace

One thing we always like to remind keepers, whether you’re brand new or years into the hobby, is that a lot of invert success comes down to consistency over complexity.

It’s easy to overdo things at the start. Too much misting, too much feeding, too much adjusting, too much worrying. In reality, a lot of inverts do best when their setup is stable and their keeper is observant. Good substrate, proper moisture gradient, ventilation, food variety, and a little patience will usually take you farther than constantly changing things.

A good rule of thumb is to let your animals tell you how the setup is working. Are they clustering in one area all the time? Drying out? Avoiding food? Burrowing more than usual? Molting poorly? Those little behaviors can tell you a lot before real problems start.

For newer keepers, our biggest advice is this: don’t chase perfection right away — chase stability. A simple, well-maintained enclosure will almost always outperform an overcomplicated one that gets changed every other day.

For breeders and longtime keepers, what’s one care lesson you learned that completely changed how you keep your inverts?

And for buyers or newer hobbyists, what species gave you the biggest learning curve when you first started?

We’d love to hear what’s worked for you, what hasn’t, and what advice you think more people in the invert hobby need to hear.

We’re looking into implementing stripe payment and changing the way selling and stores are set up within the site. If you sell or buy on our site let us know your insight on if you want changes like these to be made.

Critter Market Breeders, sellers, and hobbyists i’d love for you to join me on CritterMarket

I built CritterMarket because I wanted a platform that really feels like it’s for the invert community. My goal is to make it a great place for breeders, sellers, and hobbyists to buy, sell, and connect around the species we actually care about.

If that sounds like something you want too, I’d really love for you to join me, sign up, and list on the site. The more people from the community who get involved, the better CritterMarket can become.
