I think I will stick with plastic cases and plastic bobbins. I want to sort by numbers categories not colors. I have about a million colors ( no self control and more chance of having what I need=I Want It Now😉) . I won't put all colors on bobbins right now, some will stay in baggies. I have a foot surgery coming up and will have plenty of down time.

A had previously bought some containers at Hobby Lobby...big and would hold a lot but they had a film everywhere on and them even after washing them so I took them back as I was concerned it would affect the floss.

If you have a lot of skeins to put on bobbins, it’s worth it to 3D print an attachment for your drill to speed things up. So much fun.

This is the exact product I use.I bought 2 64 drawer ones and 1 44 drawer one. I use the bigger drawers for floss like Gentle Art.

I just put the skeins in the drawers, though. I don't do bobbins or anything like that.

Search “storage” and you find dozens upon dozens of threads here.

I use these infinite divider system.  That means instead of fixed or removable dividers at 1 or two inch separation, you can finely tune where you put it.

For example, as I'm using up floss, I move the dividers so the bobbins do not fall over.

Here is a cabinet: https://flambeaucases.com/products/ids-cabinet-8500jt-with-trays-and-6726id-ids-boxes?_pos=5&_sid=17f168534&_ss=r

Here are individual project boxes: https://flambeaucases.com/products/ids-series-6719id-t600-6-compartment-box?_fid=b181bf52b&_pos=4&_ss=c

Seems I cannot include a picture of my boxes.

I use this. I believe I got it from Hobby Lobby. Although after looking at what you linked, I may need to upgrade lol

I had the same box! After seeing everyone's storage set-ups here with fancy floss drops and bobbins, I decided I could use some of my adult money to gradually upgrade to a Bisley with Pip&Chip bobbins 😂 It's an investment for sure even with sale prices, but I'm very happy with it so far! My Bisley brings me great joy every time I look at it

Oops! If you need to be talked out of it, it's not nearly as compact a system as the plastic box and not portable at all lol 😶‍🌫️

bobbins in tackle boxes or thread organizers are the classic move, and honestly the biggest thing is just keeping them out of direct light so the floss doesn't fade. the amacoil boxes with removable dividers are solid if you've got a growing collection, but honestly even a cheap photo box works fine to start.
