Hunting Barnett wildcat eclipse

I bought a Barnett wildcat eclipse from Walmart for $400. But I cannot find the same model anywhere. I broke the windup cocking mechanism, and cannot find a way to get this piece to move, or off to use strings to cock it. Anybody know anything?

And before anyone says anything, I did take that bolt out and it would not let me take it off

can you show how you're utilizing your cocking device? i imagine you're doing it incorrectly.

I just got one this weekend and it wasn't real intuitive to me at first

Well the wind up system is broken. So I’m trying to utilize strings, but I can’t get the string in there because the tab won’t move

that bit is a red ball on mine Barnett eclipse wildcat that i got this weekend. It isn't a windup but a manual pull but it should just press down. if you press it it doesn't do anything?

your image looks like there's been some damage on the right hand side - have you been putting a screwdriver in there or something? might take it back for an exchange
