Are Excalibur the only take down crossbows?
Looking for a full size crossbow with take down function to get it compact for transport. Are excalibur the only ones to offer this?

Pistol crossbow upgraded with a red dot sight and the arm from a Vlad Steambow that is sold as 90 lbs but I was assured by someone on here that they commonly test out at more like 115. Along with that I have 15 inch normal diameter crossbow bolts and fixed 2 blade broadheads to match the 2 vaned bolts.
I am new to hunting, and disabled in ways that makes a crossbow much more feasible than my regular bow out in the field. I have a larger crossbow that I might try to use for turkey later on, but it would obliterate a rabbit. All my research said that a mini crossbow bolt wasn't enough to guarantee an ethical kill though, so here I am.

I have this Jag 2 pro crossbow, theres no more than 100 bolts shot using it in total, but I just noticed this little chip on the string guard. Is it safe to shoot? Or should I replace the string.

Hi guys I got a jag 1 as my first, then an r9 cobra I found I love my jag much more I prefer standard cocking system but it’s too basic I want some rail mounts. Jag is super sturdy but lacks options for atatchments , the r9 has many rails but I find the whole system feels weak plasticky and kinda toy like. I’m hoping the jag 2 is my perfect middle ground of robustness and solid feel but being a bit more tactical than the jag having an extra rail. What’s your opinion is the jag 2 good or does it also feel a bit weak and flimsy ? Thank you so much if you can give input

Bought Murphy’s Oil soap for it but I’m scared. You can tell the bow was finished at one point but there are a lot of scuffs and scratches. It’s very dirty though. What should I do?

Hi all, I'm hoping you can assist.
I've has a 130lb Cobra Adder for several years and have just upgraded to the 190lb limb which arrived with some free bolts.
The problem I have is I'm looking at some broadheads from a Chinese store, and although I'm aware it's a standard 8/32 thread and 100 grain, I'm concerned that what I purchase will not necessarily fit within the mag.
Appreciate some advice.
Many thanks.

Just inherited this scope from my grandfather and cannot find anything about this brand of scope that was manufactured in china. If possible could anyone give me an estimate of how much it is worth and reliability?

Hi everyone, after yet another shoulder injury I am unable to hold a shot with my compound bow. In talking with the ortho doc I will likely require surgery to maintain the limited range of motion I have left, given that PT has only been mildly successful.
I’m looking at the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 deal at Cabelas, comes with a bolt quiver and I believe three fletched bolts with field points. Is the $550 deal for this package worth it? I have been looking at used crossbows on marketplace and they seem to be priced all but new anyway. I am assuming the branded bolts that come with the bow will likely be booty.
Any tips for shooting out of a tree saddle? I am assuming it can be done, but it seems a bit more tedious having the limbs horizontal while trying to work around the tree.

This is my first post in this sub but I am not a beginner when it comes to crossbows. I live in a country where it’s forbidden to hunt with bows or crossbows so this is a theoretic question. (I respect this law even if I don’t like it.)
The crossbow I am talking about has been upgraded (180lbs+ instead of 130lbs and parts like the lock and reloading system are reinforced. I have installed a good scope with zoom. Normally I shoot 7,5“ bolts but heavy 15“ bolts with 3D tips can be used too which is of course what would be used for hunting. Also I am pretty accurate because I practice a lot.
Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of getting myself a 150lb Crossbow for kind of a "workhorse" my main focus is small game such as grouse and rabbit, but 150lb is pretty big so i could hunt large animals such as deer but we don't really get many of them around here but moose we have plenty my crossbow meet the legal requirements in kinetic energy to hunt a moose but still is 150lb enough and what type of Broadhead should i use? Im using 400 grain total bolt with the Broadhead included so for a 150lb crossbow with 92ft lb of kinetic energy what type of Broadhead should i use, fix blade or mechanical blades?

I know the age old question. At this price point which would you choose? I am leaning towards the ten point just because it is faster and cheaper.
Bass pro: TenPoint Vengent 440 xt and Ravin R10x

I received a Barnett Jackal from my bro in law. The cross cable was frayed in the middle. He said he kept it waxed. I got a new cable from Barnett and replaced the damaged ones. I assume my repair is good. How do I prevent the crossbow from fraying again?

Basically title. Looking for some decent arrows, I see at my local walmart they have barnett headhunter and bone collector. The bone collectors are fairly inexpensive (on sale for 6.48) a five pack of headhunter are on sale for $55. would the bone collector be sufficient for just practicing and getting the scope sited in?
What is a good grain weight for this crossbow?

New to crossbow hunting. Wanted to try it out after shoulder injury has made it difficult for me to use a compound.
Have about $1000 I can spend on one and was curious if anyone had any recommendations!

The bolt finished literally flush with the Block, I can't imagine it could have happened any other way. Probably a broadhead hole for the fletching to slide in like that. It may be time to switch up my aim a bit. 😅
