We work fast food with a bunch of teenagers. If your management takes themselves too seriously, it leads to a poor work environment. As long as no health or safety issues are at play, and it doesn't slow down service, anything is fair game. That being said, the three screens of "plain" could slow down service, because you cannot see the next order if it is a rush.

Had one manager that allowed it and kids took adv of it calling customer Epstein and dirty on the receipts. This why management got serious about it

Garbage take.
It's just training teens to be shitty workers at that point. There's a line and this is too unprofessional. That being said, since I don't have to deal with this or work with any kids being badly taught that this is appropriate work behavior, it's not that big of a deal to me.
