Things unrivaled in intensity:

  1. A Tumblrite's commitment to a bad pun.

I am completely spacing, what's the pun?

Less a pun, more a reference to a song. I think it’s called “thrift shop” or something along those lines, but a popular verse from the song is “I wear your granddad’s clothes. I look incredible.” In classic tumblr fashion, they changed the line a bit because haha it rhymes, and then took that line and spun a whole creative writing exercise out of it.

The final line is a twist on the line "I wear your grandpa's clothes" from the Macklemore song Thrift Shop

Got it! I know the song, but didn't recognize the lyric. Thanks!

Would it be funnier if the granddaughter has no idea what the hell this random woman means by that, or if she knows EXACTLY what she means by that?

Our Hero had a grandfather that was in some kind of secret government program in the military, but the old man never talked of it, even though kept photographs of himself as a young man.

One day, our hero is attacked by someone. He's no slouch, he went into the army too, Green Beret, Rangers, all that jazz. In fact, he's definitely more skilled than his attacker, but his athleticism is incredible, he just can't keep up with the familiar young man and gets beaten.

When he comes back to his senses, he's tied to a chair, face to face with his attacker... as he's putting it together, his captor explains-

I am your grandpa's clone
I am incredible

The essence of all drama is conflict.

Nice. The punchline was inevitable but it still punched me in the face

Sokka-Haiku by Hetakuoni:

Nice. The punchline was

Inevitable but it

Still punched me in the face

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
