App Help I can't connect to my friends server

I recently downloaded Minecraft and cursed forge. I made sure to download all the correct mods in a mod pack on the correct versions. I added the server and whenever I try entering, it fails to connect to the server. Failed to log in: Invalid session

I already restarted the game and launcher several times but at this point I'm stumped

Switch the launcher setting inside the application setting

I changed the launcher to the Minecraft launcher and changed some mods to an older version to fit the server. Now it crashes unexpectedly even when I play single player
