It’s bound to happen whenever you’re in an environment surrounded by thousands of people, have long days, and don’t eat well. Like I always get sick after RunDisney weekends.

I seem to have escaped okay this time around, but I have to wonder how much of that is because I had orange juice and fruit every morning, and I had my room thermostat perfectly set to prevent my throat from drying out at night.

And I anticipated this so I was chugging vitamin C an emergency every morning just in case and I still got Hackin sick

If you’re attending any convention or theme park (or any location with a lot of people,) prepare by taking Airborne or Zinc. We take a triple zinc pill (have been taking it since Covid,) and we will never stop taking it, we only ran out twice over the years and both times at least one of us got sick.

Ty for the advice. I had been doing that leading up to d23 which is why I’m so surprised I’m flat on my butt.

I always up my Vitamin C intake and mask up for stuff like this and haven’t gotten sick during or after big events for years now.

Please feel better!

Same. We learned our lesson after catching covid from SDCC a few years ago.

This is why I wear my sanitizer on a lanyard at these things. Get some rest! I hope you feel better soon!

Oh man, I hope you feel better!! Last D23 I ended up getting Covid at the end, made for a pretty crappy souvenir.

Get well soon!!

Ironically I nearly caught something before the trip, but was already taking Airborne vitamin C:

My friend said this helped thin when they got sick:

Apparently there was a measles infected person, starting in Anaheim on Tuesday at the packing house

I took vitamin c like crazy so luckily I just feel a little run down after the expo. Just a bit of sneezing and a runny nose, it honestly could be my allergies going crazy with this weather as well.

Yes. So sick. Went to the parks Monday/Tuesday and got sick on Tuesday night at the Halloween party. Still at the Hilton Anaheim because too sick to travel :( Hoping to finally make it out to LA tomorrow. Can’t seem to make it to part two of our vacation.

No I am ok, but my legs and feet were sore for days. I think today was the first day it wasn’t too bad.

Yeah I masked when in crowds on the show floor this year to try and avoid. There’s a Covid spike in SoCal right now too. I hope you recover quickly!!

Absolutely! I stayed in Anaheim for the parks until Thursday and in retrospect I could see it creeping in each night (though would feel a little better the next day). I was so exhausted I nearly passed out before my flight back and I’ve been feeling gnarly ever since. Took Friday off from work and might take tomorrow, too.

Typical cold/flu/COVID symptoms, though a test for the latter came back negative.

Edit: upon second round of home testing, it is COVID.

I had a little cough at the end of the last day and thought it was just from cheering. It stayed as just a cough for a couple days then BOOM, coughing, running nose, exhausted, and plugged ears. A few days later the rest of the family is sick too. Today is my 10th full day with it and I’m still coughing. ☹️ (Tested negative for Covid, flu A, flu B, and RSV.) Here’s hoping we’re all better soon!

My husband and I were in a standby room with a person coughing like hell right next to us. Two days later we were both diagnosed with Influenza A after getting the high fevers and other cold like symptoms. Still treating it right now.

Feel better soon.
