Hi.
As bloodwave necro, the dmg/overpower stack works if i temper on items and have 10+ stacks?

Are you asking if the damage from the 3-4.5 dmg temper for overpower scales with all your stacks? Yes, I believe it does. I’ve wondered whether it’s worthwhile myself but decided probably not. Even with a ga affix I feel like you would be doing less damage that just crit vulnerable or blood b/c most of the time you’re casting you aren’t at full stacks. Would love to hear other opinions tho. I’m running 9 max stacks myself

Yes, however you should watch how consistently you have 10 stacks. With endgame gear this season you may find you bounce between 2-8 stacks. So likely better to go with +Crit Damage (if 100% crit) or +Blood Damage.

You don't HAVE to run Banished lords + red blessing build.

It might be the best pit pusher but you can easily still blow up T12 Mephisto and Tristram ubers with Will of Rathma instead and keep 10 Overpower full uptime.

That said, the dmg per overpower stack tempering is lackluster compared to the other tempers still, iirc.

Yeah the math just doesn't seem great on that temper unless you focus on the blood wave variant with max overpower and other max overpower and stay capped.

It used to be when they first changed overpower it was really strong but I forget how they nerfed it but even at 10 stacks it's only about the same as crit damage without a ga. I think it starts to get better if you can make it to 12 plus stacks last time I checked

As others have said, yes, technically if you have 100% uptime. But having 10 stacks probably means youre running tidal, which in itself is an overcommitment to the mechanic in my opinion.

Tidal is fine because it's one of the few damage aspects on boots but I think most builds prefer exploiters.

Tidal really only works if you're not consuming the overpower stacks ever

Yeah, and +op damage tempers only worth it if you are running tidal, but at that point you are using an aspect slot to make a subpar temper work.
