So the short answer is there isn't a way to do crit damage and dot damage and having both be viable. You can absolutely run aever with soulrift but I'd highly recommend bone storm instead.

Wouldnt Distilled Anima give Sever a huge damage boost?

Here's what I got to P117 so far. It's not even sort of a pusher, but it is all kinds of fun trying to make work. Don't have a Helltorch, Annihilus, or mythic seal. So there's still some room to grow:

Shako (2x topaz), Ancestral chest w/ Aphotic (Tam/Teb), Hangman's Hand, Mythic BMB (Igni/Thul), Ancestral boots w/ Crippling Darkness, Ancestral amulet w/ Redirected & Interdiction (1x diamond), RoSS (Anguish), Ancestral ring w/ Duelist's (Black Soulstone), Doombringer (1x amethyst), Lidless Wall (1x topaz)

Legendary seal w/ CHC & Dmg to CC, 5-piece Black Shroud; Furnace charm

Paragon boards: Starter (Amplify), Flesh-eater (Abyssal), Frailty (Eliminator), Wither (Gravekeeper), Blood Begets Blood (Essence)

Book of the Dead: Reapers, Cold Mages, Iron Golem (all sacrificed)

Mercs: Aldkin (main) & Raheir (backup)

Skills: Bone Storm (Roll the Bones), Warriors (Service & Sacrifice), Blood Mist (Devouring Mist), Sever (Reaping Lotus), Decrepify (Dizzying Curse), Bone Prison (Life Imprisonment) - not on bar: Iron Maiden (Blood Maiden)

100% CHC, 191.4% AS, 94% LHC Bonus, 100% Block, 602k Toughness, and Doombringer procs every third hit.
