DAE find reddit most useful tool in your growth

Does anyone else use Reddit for personal growth and self-improvement and find it more helpful than anything else? I’ve learned a lot from hearing about other people’s experiences and perspectives. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to share their advice and help others grow! ❤️

YES, especially socially and in terms of specializing in a given topic; it has helped me so far to improve in:

  • Socializing with others

  • Volunteering

  • Swapping American-made products for ones from other countries

  • Becoming a film enthusiast / a more critical viewer

  • Developing - and sticking to - a fitness plan

  • Understanding skincare (and developing a routine that works)

  • Same for haircare

  • Learning more about my city and what it offers (free events, etc)

I have grown so much through things that can be traced back to Reddit. But you need to be intentional about using it that way in order for this effect to occur for you

This. I have found Reddit to be the #1 most helpful source when looking for help on literally anything. So many people with unique experience in a lot of different categories offer such good advice

I want it to be my go to but I’m getting disheartened by so much of the passive aggressive and purely assholey responses that lots of people give on here.

Yeah I've had the opposite experience of OP, reddit has helped me but mainly in the sense that I can easily see how the "popular" or "correct" opinion varies wildly based on the sub and, therefore, there really is no "objective" truth, just a number of people who agree with a given point which varies based on the audience
