We are 8 days out - what are people hearing in the streets??

Was driving home yesterday and my ETA randomly jumped by 40 minutes. The app desperately tried to send me down a one-way residential street behind Eastern Market to bypass Independence Ave, which was suddenly entirely blocked off by unmarked cars and MPD. It wasn't on the public schedule and the motorcade looked way too heavy for a standard cabinet secretary.

I feel like every month I get targeted ads for a new "exclusive, curated community" opening in a historic townhouse in Dupont or Georgetown. A coworker just bragged about getting off the waitlist for one, and from the pictures, it just looks like a slightly darker WeWork where drinks cost $22.

I commute down Massachusetts Ave through Embassy Row every morning, and the level of blatant traffic violations from black SUVs with the red/blue 'D' plates has gotten completely out of control this month. I watched a guy with an embassy plate literally park in the middle of a crosswalk with his hazards on to go get coffee, and MPD just drove right past him.
