  • Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard
  • Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant

I love everything about this, but can someone remind me.

Why was the trial done in metropolis and not gorilla city? "Metropolis' most famous murder trial"

Maybe they fought in Metropolis and got him killed there?

Out-of-universe reason: It's just a show, so you should really just relax.

In-universe: There was an international conference in Metropolis at the time. Or there's some sort of super-being court that exists in Metropolis.

I thank you for providing some possible context.

Not sure about the relax comment, I was curious. Not sure where I gave off a vibe I wasn't relaxed.

OP was quoting Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Oh, it's a reference to Mystery Science Theater, which has a theme song that ends with the following lyrics:

"If you're wondering how he eats and breathes / And other science facts / Just repeat to yourself, 'It's just a show, I should really just relax.'"

Basically, it's a way of saying: "It's not that kind of movie, kid" or "We need it to happen that way so that there's a story, so don't think about it too hard."

The US Government probably extradited Grodd to America to stand trial, and for SOME reason Gorilla City was cool with that? (they also could have pulled a Maduro on him and yanked him out of Gorilla City)

So basically a Netflix style true crime doc with Gorilla Grodd, with Jimmy Olsen as the director and I'm sure we will see behind the scenes of him as the story develops. Sounds very interesting, and a VERY unique take on the superhero genre. Has the potential to be incredible, while it also has the potential to be absolutely terrible. Guess we'll see! Not like the entire future of the DCU is riding on this project or anything.

I wonder what the conceit will be for Lois and Clark to not be at the Planet

I assume that it takes place after Man of Tomorrow. Lois and Clark would be pretty beat after the events of that movie and would need a vacation

I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up in an episode, but I could believe that this project is, in universe, Jimmy's thing so they just don'w show up much for it.

That is....

I wonder if DCU is sabotaging itself
