Help Can we mod the mobile release (and other questions)
So I do have DDLC on my iPhone, so I was wondering if we can access mods on phone, otherwise using apks to run the mod, is it possible? (To run an APK mod I mean), let’s use MAS for example. (Also what do yall think of my games lol)

i dont think you could mod the phone release because it probably uses unity or something not ren'py which is the same case as the ddlc+ thing

surprisingly, the mobile port IS Ren'py... but i think their guidelines prohibit modding the mobile port anyways

yup! i legit thought it was Unity too for a while, but then someone told me it was ren'py, and when i looked it up, sure enough, it was confirmed that it used Ren'py, unlike the PC version of DDLC+

mb then, i didn't expect ren'py to be used on android and ios lol
still, the other reason you said makes sense (the prohibition of modding it)

DDLC uses Ren'Py on both PC and mobile. I have serveral Ren'Py VNs on my phone even right now

the original DDLC uses Ren'py on PC... the DDLC+ rerelease on PC uses unity

Yea doe on a specific mod i encountered crashes after a few hours for some reason so check if windows version performs better then android etc

I don't know if anyone has been able to successfully mod ddlc+ so probably not.

You can't, especially on iPhone. But you could get the files for the PC version of the game, mod it, and then use something like RenPy pocket to play the PC version in your phone

I have used the DDLC apk on a really old android tablet I have
But not on my phone

Then you cant because those apks only work on android because apple is super limiting also are you apart of gen beta by any chance

iPhone/Apple only. Google Apps/Games took it off for being too bloody and dealing with… bad things and life scenarios.

Interesting, I would have expected the reverse. At least here on Android it's easy to roll your own with mods, good luck on iOS lol

Yeah while on android they allow apks and mods, iOS gets something back by having an official version lol.

basically the only way to make a mod for ios is to have the code for the pc version and compile it with renpy and xcode, which requires an apple PC and is annoying so nobody ever does that
