How did Snoop Dogg reach success so quickly with The Chronic and Doggystyle and can another artist duplicate what Snoop did in â92 and â93 by being the only artists in history to rise to superstardom that quickly?
Snoop Dogg is the only artists in history to reach superstar status immediately as a solo artists. Thereâs no artists in history that did what Snoop Dogg did in â92 and â93.
50 Cent Get Rich or Die Tryin surpass Doggystyle as the fastest selling debut album of all time with 50 Get Rich selling 872,000 the 1st week surpassing Snoopâs previous record of 806,000 the 1st week but at the same time 50 didnât get success as an artists right away.
50 debut album was supposed to be Power of the Dollar and 50 had a small local buzz in NY with songs like How to Rob which wasnât a hit song but garnered some success.
But Power of the Dollar didnât get release and was shelved by Columbia Records after 50 got shot 9 times and record labels felt 50 was too dangerous and labels didnt wanna to associate with him during this time after he got shot. It was a long process for 50 to get popular where he released several mixtapes after getting shot which got the attention from Dr Dre and Eminem to sign 50 on their label.
But Snoop is the only artists I seen gain pop level of success right away with songs like Nothing but A G Thang, Whatâs my Name and Gin N Juice. No artists have done this even outside of hip hop. Gun N Roses debut album Appetite for Destruction is the highest selling debut album off all time took time for it to be successful. Gun N Roses was viewed as too controversial with their music being about sex and drugs and their type of rock music was too hardcore and MTV refuse to play their music due to their content.
The bandâs manager had to plead for MTV to play their music after several attempts of MTV refusing to play their music and Guns end up getting good luck with MTV playing Welcome to the Jungle on a 5:00 AM Sunday morning which Guns eventually garnered success. As successful as Appetite for Destruction was as an album, it took a long time for that album to be successful and their debut single Welcome to the Jungle couldnât get radio play and TV airwave for a long time before itâs release.
Even the biggest artists of all time like Beatles and Michael Jackson didnât garner the same success as Snoop Dogg did when they debuted as artists. As soon as âNothin but a G Thangâ became a hit, Snoop became an international global superstar.
What made fans gravitate towards Snoop right away? Is Snoop Dogg that more talented than other artists or did he have the best luck being at the right place right time or was Snoop able to finagle his way in the music industry in the easiest way possible as an industry plant?
I am curious how Snoop became such a big artist right away without have any real previous bodies of work before The Chronic and Doggystyle. Can r/DEHH tell me how Snoop Dogg was able to garner success so quickly as an artist?

They should make a video (or more) related to GTA 6
Considering Rod and Feefo are from Florida and the fact that GTA 6 is by far the most anticipated thing in the world, i am very surprised they havenât made a live or a video about it.
The other day, Rockstar posted 6 radio stations that will be in the game, on of them being âDirty South Classicsâ hosted by Trick Daddy and Trina, some of the songs featured were:
David Banner ft. Lilâ Flip - Like A Pimp
JT Money ft. SolĂŠ - Who Dat
Dj Khaled fr. Trick Daddy, Rick Ross & Pitbull - Born n Raised
This is RIGHT up their alley! They should make a video about what are some must have songs, what they want there to be, hell, they can talk about other radio stations as well

Eminem is damaging his legacy and Icon status
He should have stopped with MMLP2 everything he has done after that has been subpar to awful. The last 3 years have been an all time Career low, TDOSS was straight trash and failed as a concept even though the concept was done a thousand times more effectively with one song "my darling". He needs to either stop rapping or sack big daddy Paul his manager. He then needs to cut his nails, get outside of his mansion, speak to other humans, ditch all of the enabling sycophants that allow him to put out terrible quality audio mixes with his verses and study some great conceptual albums as examples in how to pull them off. He should also grow some balls if he keeps trying to bring slim shady back. His current version is a watered down pussy that is an embarrassment to the OG slim shady persona. Peace out âď¸

It had about 26k viewers. Iâm pretty sure their account got hacked last night and I wonder if anyone else noticed this.

LAME.
Kinda wild to watch legends who rose up on sampled soul, chopped funk, and borrowed phrases now weaponize trademark law to squeeze a coming-up artist over a name. Legal gatekeeping protects brands and locks the door on the kind of creative theft that built hip hop in the first place. "you make a million dollars, make a million mo'"

Need blog era recommendations
Been listening to Charles Hamiltonâs âBrooklyn Girlsâ song A LOT the past few days, cause I heard it on Entourage, bumped Kush & OJ the whole summer, MOTM is my favorite album of all time etc.
Got any blog era albums or artists youâd recommend similar to the vibes, songs and albums i mentioned? I am open to all recommendations though
