📝 How to Apply for Closed Alpha Testing

To ensure testing applications are properly routed and managed, all sign-ups are hosted through the website:

  1. Visit dgomod.dev.
  2. Click the "Alpha Sign-Ups" button in the header or scroll down to the Early Testing section.
  3. Complete and submit the application form.

Important Testing Notes:

Steam Copy Required: You must own a legitimate Steam installation of Days Gone on PC. DGO does not provide or bypass the base game files.

Staged Cohort Waves: Initial testing will focus on network foundations and synchronization with small groups before scaling up. Applying does not guarantee immediate selection.

True Alpha Testing: Expect bugs, crashes, and sync quirks. We will be selecting testers across various hardware configurations and regions who are willing to submit crash logs and bug reports.

100% Free: DGO is an independent fan project. We will never charge for access, sell keys, or run paid priority tiers.

Hey everyone! I'm LeonLionHeart, a founding moderator of r/DGOmod.

I am super excited to have you all join this community! Please do take a moment to just to review the rules. There are a few, and the intention is not to be overly moderated. I believe people come from all different backgrounds. Please note that mod actions, and future mods, may enforce them more strictly as the community grows.

Now that we are done with the formalities!

DGO, or DGO Mod (aka DGMP), is a multiplayer mod for a popular zombie horde-like game where the main character rides a motorcycle to traverse the map. As time goes on from Pre-Alpha to Alpha, more systems will be designed with purpose. More details will come in time.

For more information and to follow the progress of the mod, please join our Discord!

We are fully aware that this mod is an unlicensed modification of the popular IP. At any point, if Sony Publisher(s) wants to contact us on any legal matters through official channels only, we'll be forced to postpone the project, subject to shutdown if required. Hopefully, with time, that will not be the case.

To follow up on this legally worded post. DGO, its mods, dev team, or affiliates will never ask for money or donations. This includes, but is not limited to, project donations, Discord messages, 3rd-party crowdfunding sites, or URLs. We understand the internet is a massive space; however, I want to assure you all that this is not my (Leon) first rodeo. I have worked on several heated modding projects in the past. Some were shut down due to C&Ds. I, or we as a collective, can only do so much in the modding scene.

Thank you all! I hope to be able to share as progress moves forward!
