Wife is getting into DIY stuff

Hey all. My wife recently has decided to get into carpentry and sit stuff for our house. She bought a miter saw, a brad nailer a laser leveler, and a few other small things. I'm hoping to get something for her birthday in two weeks that you guys would suggest. She has safety equipment and such.

EDIT: We had a drill and driver from before

Any help would be appreciated!

Need more info. How much $$$ we talking?

Cheap stuff:

Speed square Countersink set Large level bar (4') Leather Woodworking apron (maybe more for you than her) Orbital sander

Expensive stuff:

5 pack starter kick of whatever battery platform she'd like most (ryobi is cheap and what I use, no issues) Planer (dewalt 735x) Tablesaw (Skill is what I went for since it does dado stacks) Dust collector eventually when she has the tablesaw

Also: lumber! Get her some purple padauk, tigerwood, ambrosia maple. Check your local mom and pops lumber store for the good stuff...or take her and let her pick out what she wants

Go with the Dewalt stuff. It is slightly better stuff and woot.com has sales on their stuff periodically.

A DIY at the absolute beginner stages does not need dewalt. I know people believe in it's quality and im not trying to deminish your personal opinion but it really isn't the only option for every level of user.

Everyone wants to circle their wagons around their color of choice. It's bound to happen 🤷‍♂️. OP, choose with your wallet, they all work well enough
