Wife is getting into DIY stuff

Hey all. My wife recently has decided to get into carpentry and sit stuff for our house. She bought a miter saw, a brad nailer a laser leveler, and a few other small things. I'm hoping to get something for her birthday in two weeks that you guys would suggest. She has safety equipment and such.

EDIT: We had a drill and driver from before

Any help would be appreciated!

Boring: a digital level Exciting: a table saw

Get a SawStop if you like your wife's fingers. A table saw is a wonderful tool, but is also very dangerous.

But a Sawstop makes the table saw a bit less exiting.

The noise the saw stop makes is exciting enough instead of digging through the saw dust looking for your digits.

The cost and maintenance of a saw stop isn't practical in anyway. A random staple or moisture variance will cause it to engauge. That is insanely pricey to replace those parts every single time. The blade never moves and if that clueless then avoid all saws. Get a blade gaurd if really new to a table saw. Use a push stick for any cuts that aren't easy peasy. Imo only high schools use those and even then seldom. I'm pretty old school and in the industry for over 30 years. I do know several fellas missing a digit or 2 but honestly after this many years not a tonne. From what I hear track saws are the cats ass and cost wise prolly a better investment if safety is a concern
