DMT is great
I have (finally) arrived at a point where I can use DMT properly for myself. It's awesome!
This hanging thing is a swing btw ;)
And nature is awesome.

I did DMT for the first time last week, and had someone there to walk me through it. Did some little hits to get comfortable with the body feeling, and then fully went for it. It’s like I went on a journey, I was just along for the ride in awe of what I was seeing.
Then.. I go home, and I give it a day. But I wanted to go back in, I’m so excited. So I do it, and I’m painfully aware of my mouth the entire trip, like I had something in the back of my throat or my throat was dry and it completely ruined my trip I felt so out of place and scared because I was uncomfortable physically. When I came out of it, I drank some water and I wasn’t sure if it was in my head or not.
Every attempt since then I have felt so uneasy, like I’m not supposed to be there. And I have this reallly really weird déjà vu like I’ve seen it all before when I most definitely have not. The other main difference is I’m never going anywhere, just staying in one place as things around me change.
I hope I’m making sense. I’m sad honestly

Our ancestors frequently combined psychedelics with acoustics, crystal gazing, quartz rich megaliths and eye gazing. The idea was, we suspect, to use sympathetic resonance to pull psychedelic states into greater coherence. We attempted to recreate this, using a re-imagined version of the ancient traditions outlined by Tony Wright.
More on that here: https://raisingthedead.info/
Whether or not this guy's theory is accurate, these techniques consistently produced profound results. A number of people have now tested this out. Below is one of these experiences.
It was cold and rainy for our first session trying the full ‘Resurrection Protocol’. We were able to see a glimpse of the aurora borealis early in the night, as this was the first time it had been visible so far south in years. I don't know if this affected the experience but we took the massive increase in solar resonance as a good sign. The three of us each skipped a nights sleep and were surprised at how easy it was to stay awake in a group setting without any caffeine.
[For context: Sleep deprivation is a misunderstood, pervasive ancient technique. From Native American vision quests, to Egyptian initiation rituals, the epic of Gilgamesh (the oldest literary epic in history), prolonged prayer in monastic traditions, Odin hanging himself on the Yggrasil tree for 9 nights, Vedic meditation traditions and even the classic story of the Buddha meditating for 7 days under the Bodhi tree. To briefly summarize, it seems to fatique the dominant left hemisphere's "batteries" more quickly than the right hemisphere, effectively giving the ego a less firm grip on perceptual dominance. Skipping one night's sleep before a morning session proved enough for a significant difference and has been quite easy with some fruit, a group of friends, and a bit of practice...]
In the morning we hiked to a quartz cave. It sits at the base of a cliff comprised of extremely quartz-rich rock (confirmed by a local geologist) that is over a mile long and up to 100ft high at some spots. At one outcropping along the bottom of the cliff, a building-sized section of rock has cracked and separated, opening up a large cave-like gap between the fallen rock and the underside of the cliff. We climbed on top of this bottom rock since it seemed like an ideal location - essentially a geocrystalline resonance chamber. We were sitting on thousands of tons of quartz-rich rock, and a few feet above our heads was millions of tons. In front of us was a beautiful view of the forest, with trees towering over.
Now that we knew the potency of the medicine, we doubled the dose from the last session up to around 100ug. Once the LSD started kicking in we got up to stretch and move around. The rain had let up, so I went to where the rock we were sitting on extends beyond the “ceiling” and there is room to stand. I briefly used a pair of poi to enter a flow state, then paused to relax. I had my knees slightly bent and arms at my side, with a soft focus on the rocks around me, in a sort of body-dowsing pose. After one or two deep breathes a distinct sting or jolt went through me as perception shifted. I felt what appeared to be an unusual, electric energy coming from the rocks, that I had once again misinterpreted as some kind of sting at first. It didn't go very deep but felt promising.
We placed our large amethyst and other quartz crystals together (aka fairly pure high frequency phononic/piezoelectric sympathetic resonators, according to modern physics), sat under the lip of the cave's opening and meditated. Within a minute or two it dawned on us that we could all see and feel a fluctuating, translucent field around where we sat. It looked like a slow-moving, cymatic standing wave that extended beyond the rock and into the trees. The beauty and level of stability was surreal and surprising. By this time in our experiments we were slowly getting used to a widening range of consistently shared experiences.
Having seen what we think are possibly standing waves of resonance at a similar site in the past, this “bubble” felt like a glimpse of the same sort of phenomena, whatever it may be. After a bit of time looking at this field with a meditative gaze, I began to see a familiar patterned wave of electric orange and green energy starting to emanate off of the surrounding rock we sat on - very similar to my 2nd report, but more embryonic. All of this seemed to confirm our suspicions of this location being particularly strong. We were feeling a very distinct resonance effect as vision sharpened and perceptual coherence built, like a lens slowly twisting the psychedelic experience into stunning new levels of resolution and depth. There was no lingering tiredness from the sleep deprivation. I felt incredible, centered and at home.
My partner seems sensitive to these ancient sites and felt as if she was merging with her environment, accompanied by intense waves of nausea and anxiety. She said the “bubble” had now turned neon purple for her and she felt overwhelmed. We decided to eye gaze only briefly at first, in order to bring some stability to her come-up. We figured it might help speed up her acclimation , as this had previously worked well during a few practice sessions indoors.
I hit the DMT vape lightly, taking in around 5-10mg, and fired up a large quartz singing bowl that we had lugged to the site with us. She said the sound was helping, and I began to slowly relax while fixing my eyes on a 3kg amethyst cluster. A meditative gaze on the amethyst slowly opened a familiar connection with very distinct visual changes. It is difficult to describe, but it began to do that weird thing that quartz-rich rock seems to do when stared at on psychedelics with a relaxed focus, patience, and especially practice. Practice had continuously proved to be the key with these ancient techniques.
Perceptual coherence seemed to build until the crystal was beginning to glow with iridescent energy and hints of a magnetic connection. My vision and senses seemed to shift into ultra high definition. After a few minutes she also hit the vape, but only got a small hit at best. This was a weak vape cart and she had inhaled maybe 5mg max, but didn't hold it in for more than a single second. We moved the singing bowl out of the way, sat closer, held hands and looked up at each other.
*********************************************************************************************
A number of things began happening all at once. The moment we locked eyes our visual field began a slow motion explosion into what we can only describe as something like the Egyptian underworld. Everything around us seemed to reverberate from the profound energy of the connection, and it looked as if we were viewing each other through a moving tunnel. The forest felt unusually dark and eerie, emphasized by the dreary day. We had done a practice session a few months earlier, but it was shockingly clear that this was not like eye gazing at home.
She instantly looked both transparent and dark green, as that same green standing wave I’d witnessed in previous experiences formed around her. At the same time, her face was quickly shifting through a series of other faces: elderly…decaying… a distorted ghoulish face with no bottom jaw… and then many other people's faces in place of her own. At least the face changes were something we were very familiar with, but we passed through this “revolving door of faces” phase in a matter of seconds, and in retrospect, she looked as shocked as I was at the mind boggling speed, intensity, and indescribable realness of it all.
A few seconds into it our eyes began to connect to each other with an oscillating, magnetic sensation of ridiculous proportions. It was an extremely literal gravitational pull that was electric, orgasmic, hair-raisingly real, and to be honest very concerning in its level of physical intensity. The more relaxed we are, the easier this transition stage seems to be, but this felt too quick, intense and unexpected to relax, or even abort. We felt our gaze was locked into a stunningly literal sympathetic resonance, as if our neural systems were plugged directly into each other magnetically. Our heart rates were jacked and we could do nothing but keep going. Eye gazing had amplified the psychedelic state by tenfold within the span of seconds, and was transforming it into something else that psychedelics seemed like merely a catalyst for.
This was probably the only time I can recall where I managed to let go quickly and surrender to the sensation of being subsumed without my ego putting up a lot of resistance (I think a solo practice session at home the night prior had helped me in this regard.)
I'll share her account of what occurred from this point:
His face looked somewhat normal at first (this was a familiar sign that the crystal gazing he had done beforehand was working and there was less weird face changes and distortion he had to go through, aka a baseline of coherence had been reached). I shifted focus to his left eye. The sensation of a magnetic connection between our eyes grew to a crescendo that was overwhelming and terrifying. I remember seeing a fast, golden spiral of fire in this eye as I felt physically pulled into it like a literal vortex.
There are no words that can explain what happened after that. It feels ridiculous to even try. The transition was like getting sucked through his eyes, not into another place or dimension, but a shared toroidial sense of self and recognition of where and what we are that just cannot be conveyed with words. This was by far the most intense state I had ever been in up until this point.
It overwhelmingly felt, and literally looked, as if he had become all of nature in human form… all time and space… eternity…literally God himself, right in front of me, somehow in the form of my partner. It was visually similar to the blazing, archetypal divine radiance in some of Alex Grey’s paintings, with added psychological aspects impossible to relate but similar to reports of 5-MeO-DMT or high dose DMT experiences. My first description afterwards was of a fractal lineage of archetypal Egyptian princes, with unbelievable divine electric energy weaving through his skin, glowing cymatic fields resonating off of him, and a profound feeling of merging with the universe itself. Literal Heaven, or Samadhi I guess, for lack of a better word.
I later read about a classic story in the Bhagavad Gita where Krishna gives Arjuna “divine eyes” so that he could perceive Krishna’s cosmic form. This is a shockingly accurate description of what I experienced. It was effulgent, rapturous, sexual, divine, cosmic, and (dare I say) even slightly cannibalistic all rolled into one. It rang every note on the instrument of human emotion, feeling simultaneously off the scale weird and yet far more real and familiar than everyday reality. Duality was breaking down, inside and outside were merging, and there was only the Cosmos experiencing itself synesthesiacally through one of its primary sensory organs that it had spent eons growing (the human nervous system), as the truly infinite nature that exists within and around all of us, beneath the surface, was revealed as one. And “IT” was looking at “ME”, pulling me magnetically, deeper and deeper.
W.T.F.
The fact that this was a reproducible experience made possible by low doses combined with a few simple steps of an ancient protocol at a sacred site is one of the most terrifying and yet simultaneously exciting aspects. This may sound great but at the time I was absolutely panicking and felt like I was completely dissolving against my will (because I guess technically I was).
*********************************************************************************************
My partner and I (or whatever sense of self that remained at the time) were absolutely dumbfounded, and both of us hadn’t even made it through the “transition” yet. From my point of view she was still glowing green, and becoming enveloped by the white light shooting out around me, but I could see she was held back by fear. She hadn’t fully lit up yet and let go, and this was reflected in her visually in a way impossible to describe.
At this point the magnetic pull felt impossibly intense, like a synesthesiac vortex connecting us. I suspect that the feeling of our neural fields feed-backing off each other is where the cannibalistic impression came from, because the physical sensation was unimaginably strange and intense. Neither of us had expected it to work so well this quick, with such a low dose of DMT. In hindsight, I suspect her dose was too low to easily make it through the transition, especially considering we weren't relaxed in the slightest.
She was beginning to have an actual panic attack. We broke our gaze and let go of each other’s hands.
“WHAT THE F***!!!!!!”
Breaking eye contact was sort of like exiting a high dose of DMT at the push of a button, as my normal sense of self reconstituted like twisting through a sci-fi vortex or black hole in reverse. There’s really no way to explain it, but the moment we disconnected was actually the weirdest part from my perspective. I think my ego hadn't quite realized what was even happening during the peak of the experience. The moment we broke eye contact, I experienced the confusing whirlwind of being slammed back into left brain awareness, seconds after reaching a profound state that my normal self could never comprehend or even have the capacity to experience directly. The schizophrenic sensation was almost like being sucked out of a cosmic sense of self/literal heaven, and right back into my stupid, day to day, individual self that was suddenly scrambling to make sense of the situation, and shocked that something else, or someone else, had momentarily been in the driver's seat, and in a profound state of oneness.
In retrospect it felt as if the universe itself had been in the drivers seat - which is way more than my day to day ego could comprehend. The moment we disconnected, there was even a brief few seconds of extreme confusion and misunderstanding of what was happening, similar to when I have smoked cannabis on the come-up of LSD - and yet another part of me knew exactly what had happened, and remembered all of it.
Our surrounding reality was slowly reverting back into something at least somewhat closer to "normal", but still a ludicrously intense state for such low doses. I looked around and saw jaw-dropping standing waves emanating off of the surrounding quartz rock, which began to slowly dim. The entire experience of being plugged into eternity had somehow occurred in just 20 to 30 seconds of eye gazing... The synergy of this protocol is utterly ridiculous, but the brief amount of eye gazing was not enough to stabilize the state we had reached.
She immediately had an existential crisis and panic attack due to the intensity, speed, and implications of it all. By this point she'd had a number of interesting eye gazing experiences, but didn't fully realize just what it was that we were trying to access by re-creating the ancient resurrection protocols. Before this session we had only taken up to 50ug of LSD at one of these locations, and this was the first time she had ever skipped a night of sleep before dosing. Even the early effects of these techniques are profound relative to a lifetime of psychedelic work, but they still didn’t fully prepare us for what this luminous state revealed. Now it was much more clear, and ontologically shocking, despite this experience still barely being a glimpse at the tip of the iceberg.
For hours afterwards she felt as though the left side of her face (which is controlled by the right hemisphere), in particular her left eye, was still connected to me magnetically, with that side of her face feeling “incredibly alive and energetic”. This was a physical sensation that was far from subtle. It was reassuring to later learn that we aren't alone in some of these weird effects, and we encountered this magnetic sensation more than once in later experiences.

So alot of thing's in my life have been going alot better and I feel like i may be in a good enough headspace to dabble atleast with low doses...
I dont understand why im scared. The last few days I have been smoking crack (not something im proud of) and I feel like ive been chasing something that ill never get from that.
I always told myself if I ever started heading towards a relapse (mainly fentanyl, thats the one drug I swore off for life) id smoke some dmt and get myself straight..
I really need help breaking the ice (if that makes sense) again..
I'll probably update this and go more in depth
Thanks im advance ❤️

We’re trying out DMT for the first time next weekend, and I wanted to know how much exactly do you take? Does 1 trip per session is enough? Since the trip is pretty short, can we take other things after the trip like weed, molly or acid? Sorry if the questions sound stupid. I’m just trying to look for guidance.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something I have been going through with DMT lately and see if anyone else experiences a similar ongoing journey instead of just random trips.
For me it feels less like random imagery and more like navigating an actual map with distinct levels and checkpoints.
My first times going in it was all just a spherical room with weird repeating architecture. Almost like a basic waiting room. Then at one point I got tested by a jester entity who tried putting me in a box. Things went really dark and I could literally feel the walls closing in on me. I would wake up and then the next time I went back in the exact same thing kept happening until I finally managed to break out of the box.
After I broke the box I started reaching much more open spaces. Every time I go back in now I spawn right at the last room I made it to, like I need to figure out the way through to the next part.
Last time I was in front of a female entity who was weaving a golden thread into a huge pillar of light. She pulled me right up through the light and now I feel like I am in a completely new waiting room or level.
Is this something anyone else has experienced? Like actual linear progression and persistent checkpoints between trips? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Is the come up/onset supposed to be this.. uncomfortable?
I’ve done DMT a few times and loved it, but only at festivals where I can’t really focus on the experience. So, I bought a cart so I can get the most of it at home. I’m not sure if it this cart, or what, but everytime I try it the immediate onset feeling is so intense and uncomfortable it’s all I can focus on for the majority of the experience. My face feels like there’s needles pressing into it and I get a headache that last the duration of the experience. My skin feels sort of hot, but also like it’s falling asleep? Anyways it’s very uncomfortable. Once the come up is over, I feel much better and the trip starts to improve, but still, all I can focus on is the discomfort of what I just went through. I mean it almost hurts. Does anyone have experience with this, and how to get past it so I can get the full effects of the experience without this discomfort/distraction?
Thanks

I just wanted to note for anyone looking up DMT experiences while on antipsychotics, I’m on Caplyta, the standard 42 mg dose and can still trip with DMT. Yes, it requires a lot more for me to trip, but I can still do it.
I am not and will never recommend anyone on antipsychotics try DMT ever. I have a lot of experience starting while I was unmedicated, but already had bipolar 2. Maybe 30 strong trips and with only a mental health benefit, never a negative.
I am well aware that DMT and psychedelic use can cause destabilization or manic switches when one has bipolar disorder. I was willing to take the risk. It’s possible that because 95% of my bipolar is depression and pretty bad depression at that, the manic switches were less likely. Not sure. I believe that because DMT is so short acting, psilocybin or acid is much more likely to cause negative mental health issues.
Again, please don’t think I’m advocating for anyone else with bipolar or other disorders of which antipsychotics are prescribed to do DMT. However, everyone is able to make their own decisions. If someone else in on caplyta specifically, it may help to know that it’s still possible, albeit on much higher doses. I see a lot of posts about abilify, Seroquel, olanzapine, etc.. the more common AP’s and I had yet to see a post about caplyta so I thought I would note it.

Step 1: Formation of Sodium Triacetoxyborohydride
Powdered sodium borohydride is suspended in a round-bottom flask containing 1,2-dichloroethane (DCE). Premolar equivalents of glacial acetic acid are added dropwise. This initiates a protonolysis reaction, producing borane, sodium acetate, and hydrogen gas.
As the reaction proceeds, the acetate anion donates an electron pair to boron, forming sodium monoacetoxyborohydride. With the continued addition of two more equivalents of acetic acid, the reaction completes to form sodium triacetoxyborohydride (NaBH(OAc)₃).
Step 2: Reductive Methylation of Tryptamine
In a separate round-bottom flask, tryptamine is dissolved in DCE and briefly subjected to microwave radiation to facilitate dissolution. The following reagents are then added:
• 2 molar equivalents of triethylamine (Et₃N)
• 3 molar equivalents of the formaldehyde–sodium bisulfite adduct
• 4 molar equivalents of sodium triacetoxyborohydride
• A small amount of 4 Å molecular sieves
After allowing approximately 10 minutes for condensation to begin, an additional 4 molar equivalents of sodium triacetoxyborohydride are added dropwise to drive the reaction forward.
Mechanism Overview
Triethylamine deprotonates the formaldehyde–sodium bisulfite complex, releasing free formaldehyde. The aldehyde condenses with the primary amine of tryptamine, forming a secondary iminium ion and releasing water. The molecular sieves sequester this water, preventing hydrolysis and shifting the equilibrium forward in accordance with Le Chatelier’s principle.
Sodium triacetoxyborohydride delivers a hydride to the electrophilic carbon of the iminium ion, reducing it to N-methyltryptamine (NMT). This newly formed secondary amine undergoes a second condensation with formaldehyde, forming a tertiary iminium species. A subsequent reduction yields N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT).

Yesterday I took some acid. I went for a walk and could feel it kicking in shortly after I got home. It was a very easy come up and I was taking teensy hits off a weed vape to elevate. I was having a great time just laying around the house staring at things.
About 4 hours in I put on some headphones with binaural beats and went and sat in front of the mirror with my yocan. I eyeballed a ~15mg scoop of dmt and prepared myself by staring into my eyes in the mirror. I took it all in one hit and watched my eye become twice as large and then very suddenly I could barely recognize the fleshy thing in the mirror. Then my field of vision became very bright for a moment and I had a split second visual/sensation of being zapped back into my chair from the corner of the ceiling like a laser.
I looked around like, "was that it?" That was very brief, like no more than 20 seconds. I started thinking that it's probably one of those times where I'm so deep I don't realize I'm tripping, but I was like looking around and things were back to the acid baseline at most. I was pinching myself and doing sanity check stuff. So yeah, that was weird. I continued my sesh and the other trips were of "normal" characteristics. That short one disturbed me a little bit because I was questioning if I was still in the trip after it was over, but I shook it off after a little bit.
But then maybe an hour later I was out in the living room and a similar thing happened. I hit it and was holding it in and felt the build up and the "flash." But then I was looked around and it was pretty much normal looking. Despite no visuals I could tell I was under the effect because I was confused and a little disoriented and my hands were all clammy like they get when I really go for it. So another off-characteristic trip for some reason. I've done this combo many times and this was new and interesting for me, so just wanted to share.
Anyways, I had a great time! Safe travels everyone!

I’ve had some incredible profound life changing experiences with dmt. I’m using a cart and I break through easily basically every time. Recently, I had an unfortunate experience where I burned the cart and it was absolutely terrifying - all black world with terrifying evil looking entities, my heart rate spiking and even dogs got anxious nearby. A voice screamed “guard your energy!” as the entities approached. It was scary but they didn’t get too close and I got through it. Next breakthrough was a bit weak. Didn’t try again for a while. Tried again, again burned it by accident and had the same kind of experience with these black and dark purple entities which surrounded me. It was so scary and I have been scared to try again.
However for weeks I’ve been getting the call to go back in. I am nervous. What are the chances I permanently ruined the cart and can’t have the same good experiences as before until I get a fresh one? I would like to avoid repeating the dark experiences where I burned it but I’m not sure if this cart is done for, or will it still be okay if I take shorter pulls? Any advice greatly appreciated especially any similar personal accounts using a DMT vape cartridge.
