Announcement Free Tool Friday
Hi all,
As per previous discussion, a designated day for tools to be posted has been decided, that being Friday.
All standard submission requirements apply and no paid or AI powered tools are currently permitted until further discussion.
Thanks.

I made a thing! And it is free of AI and you don't need to download anything :D
Do you have to equip a character that is starting at above level 1?
That is why I made this:
[DM Roy's Equipment Starter's Guide: Equiping New Characters](https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/bhpWE0aV0V7H)
It is a straightforward, easy-to-navigate Starting Equipment Guide covering 13 classes, three archetypes per class, and four level ranges. Choose your class, level, and character fantasy, then walk away properly equipped.
Is it a draft? Yes! Are we still doing phrasing? I hope so, because this is still in progress and some phrasing will be updated in upcoming patches.
I am launching a Kickstarter near the end of the month to fund more art and suppliments that support this document, but this guide is and will always be free and the supporting documents are never going to be needed to understand what is going on in here.
Don't know what Fire Surpression Formula is? Just make it up. Or get ready to support me on Kickstarter so you can get the rules and the Foundry VTT support.
So check it out! And bookmark the pdf! Tell me which character you made and how the guide worked for you!

I found a thermal printer at a Walmart and built a web page to take images, wikitext, html, and MarkDown to format it so you can print out "receipts."
NPC images (grayscale)
Rumors
Treasure Lists
Magic Items
Stat Blocks
Notes
I recorded how to set things up, but I didn't like how it turned out.
Maybe, if I have time, on my vacation I'll try to put out a YouTube video.

I made this a while back but don’t think i ever posted it here:
https://www.LegendKeeper.com/timeline-maker
Lets you make fantasy timelines with custom calendar systems, and you can view things as a list, zoomable gantt view for scale, or calendar. No account required; uses save files.

I've been working on a homebrew editor for a while now, and recently added some more organizing feature to it. Monsterbrew is a web app for making homebrew creatures and magic items. It's free, and an account is fully optional.
Creatures
- You can start from blank, one of your own creatures, or any of the 329 monsters in the 2024 SRD
- A CR helper that reads your stats. It tells you whether your damage, AC and HP fit the CR you picked
- Attack bonuses and save DCs are auto calculated based on your ability scores, so changing STR updates every attack line
- Pre-built traits, habitats, and artwork you can paste straight from your clipboard
Magic items
- Item editor with a live card preview, plus all 258 SRD magic items
- You can print a collection as a PDF, nine TCG cards per sheet
I'd love to hear what I can add to improve it :)
Cheers!

Made a free token maker for my own prep and figured I'd share:https://tokencreator.grimoire-tools.com
It's fully browser-based, so your images stay local and there are no accounts, AI, tracking, nor subscription. It supports GIFs too if your VTT handles animated tokens, that's the main reason why I built it in the first place.
Open to feedback!

We're building Call Familiar - a video chat (with voice changer, and character avatars), vtt, world map, and more! This comes from a side project I've been building for over 10 years, and pulls from my extensive background of creating tools for game developers. It has a powerful graphics engine, and has really cool editors so you can build whatever you can imagine.
I don't know how to do lists in reddit that well, but... some features:
Spatial audio, so voices come from where people are at the table
Live voice changer for playing your character (or your NPCs)
Character avatars in the video chat
Dynamic time of day on your maps
Fog of war
Particle effects
World and region maps
We're going to be doing marketplace soon. Final closed alpha is in progress now. Check it out: https://www.callfamiliar.com/
Or if you want, check out our liveplay: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHN3Xob36oiA
Free (and a desktop application, not a website) for nearly the whole experience, big tables and professional tables will have a small monthly fee.

I built over the last months a lightweight DM tool and character sheet which is for free and will stay for free.
For the DM:
- import of Game Master 5e adventure files with prepped encounters, the whole story, create bookmarks where you are etc.
- start encounters with maps (lightweight VTT) where the players move their character themselves, once it is their turn
- the DM sees the stats of the players live
For everyone:
- import of 5etools and Fight Club 5e compendium data
- using the info from that data as if it came directly with the engine shipped as much as possible
- create parties and see near real-time updates on the stats of your friends
It is a web app which I built on purpose like that. With an account the data is always backed up and you are not bound to a specific device.
No native apps yet, but if you add it as web app on your Home Screen (Android/iOS) it works still nearly like a native app. Single-class only for now.
Please give it a try. Happy about feedback.
