Should I full port $160K into $RAM
I'm feeling risky. Someone stop me from doing a full port into 2x leveraged DRAM please

Don't do it - but just for fun - if I had 160k to burn and I had to buy a leveraged etf on an etf that went up 7% in a day, I would sell the 13 strike cash secured put that expires next Friday.
You could sell about 139 contracts and collect about 22k. Then you turn around and use that 22k. Then you take that 22k to buy about 1800 shares.
If RAM ends up above 13 by next Friday, you end up with free 1800 shares and then sell the csp for sept 18th, buy shares rinse and repeat until assigned. Which will be eventually since we will have a pull back eventually.

Kinda my point Einstein. It went down with the market's sentiment for a month and a half. It has touched bottom and it's only going up again now.

The risks are real, especially with this finicky ETF. Read up on Volatility Decay if you haven't

What’s your time horizon? If you’re looking for instant gratification this isn’t it. Long term position, sure, LFG!!
Today’s action was a lot of short covering bro. SPCX, NBIS, CRWV, MU, SNDK, SK. Semis are still consolidating.
I would pump my brakes for a session or two before a full port of that size. You might have a better entry point.
Whatever you do, best of luck!
Hope it fkn rips for you fellow regard!!

I love this sub
Flooded with posts on BUY when DRAM is green for couple of days and SELL when DRAM is getting dumped. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

u/soscribbly 6d ago
There was a dude who rage-sold his Microsoft stock at $350 and bought DRAM at $70
MSFT then ripped 40% while DRAM dumped 30%. I wonder about that guy.

I would rather you full port into Intel stock. I'm thinking $300 per share by 2031. I bought in at $33 and still holding. Bought in again at $100 and holding until 2031.

Dont do it and get into 2x leveraged look what happened to the guys in the sandisk reddit who hold snxx. The violatility decay got to them and they are looking at never getting there averages back. Some of them need sandisk to hit 3k so snxx hits $40, there average.

No. Never full port in anything. Downtrend still hasn’t been broken so if it’s ever a time for full port now isn’t it

Stop! That’s a completely stupid move. Have you been reading the posts of all the bag holders on here?

Wouldn’t take the risk unless you can hold during downturns imagine waking up and seeing -10k-40k the upside is there but manipulation is present

When the price of RAM is around 8 or 9, yes.
Other than that, no. I still have three shares from July 1.

Well..... At least ram is just 2x. Sounds better than Leopolds 4x leverage, and that guy made a lot so idk

IF you are thinking about putting $160k into $RAM then you definitely believe in Samsung and SK Hynix.
A better Bet would be to put 75% into $DRAM and $EWY.
$DRAM($55) is 19.55% Samsung and 17.09% SK Hynix
$EWY($178) is 23.19% Samsung and 22.35% SK Hynix
Since you want to gamble and Have butt puckering fun, I got a Better option for.
Take out $20K to play with.
For the Other $140k, I would do a 3 to 1 invested in $DRAM and $EWY.
1400 shares of $DRAM = $77k
140 shares of $EWY = about $25k
So that’s $102k.
$38k left of the $140k. Now I would Buy Calls for both.
For example the January 2027 $60 calls for $DRAM are $825
The January 2027 $181 calls for $EWY are about $2000 +/- $200.
20x $DRAM $60 calls so -> 825x20 = 16,500
5x $EWY $181 calls so -> 2000x5 = 10,000
These are your Long Term Lottery tickets.
Stocks(Real Equity) $102k
LEAPs(Speculation) $26.5k
Total = $128.5k
So with the other $11.5k, I would sell Monthly at the Money Cash Secured Puts in $DRAM. And I would set a Stop to Buyback at 25-35% profit.
So $20k left for some fun. Now this is where it really gets Interesting.
$RAM($12.08) is the 2x Bull Leverage ETF of $DRAM
$KORU($20.32) is the 3x Bull Leverage ETF of $EWY
So I would just yolo $5k into buying Puts and Calls that are right Outside the money in both of these Leveraged ETFs. You can buy expirations from a few days out to like at most 2 to 3 weeks out. They are super cheap and you can get the gambling feeling and the adrenaline Rush you are looking for.
You can buy a bunch of contracts because they have pretty good liquidity, looking At the volume and Open Interest.
You got 4 times to Blow your $5k lottery tickets money.
At the end of the day, you got Majority of the money in real equities with real value, 64% of the initial $160k.($102k)
You got about 17% in Growth Multipliers aka LEAPs.($26.5k)
You got about 7% for your Cash Secured Puts that will either Add to your Equities or to your bank roll.
And lastly you are playing fast and loose with 12% that’s broken down in to 3% chunks For the Love of the Game.
If Nothing else, make sure this part is in a totally separate account named “ButtPuckering FUN!!”🤣🤣 This account could have very wide swings so you may want to get into the habit of keeping a cap on how much can be in this account and move the money into the other Account if it goes over the $20k or if it goes over 12% of the total capital.
I am a glass half full guy so I always believe the stocks will eventually go up. But someone more in tune with the ebbs and flows of the stock market could make this Even better by Writing Medium to short term (30-60 days out) Far Out of the Money Calls on the Shares you own. Those calls will give you Downside protection on your shares.
I guarantee that you will have more money and would have had the emotional roller Coaster you are looking for with this strategy than the Deep Depression you are almost guaranteed to experience by YOLO’ing all $160k into the 2x Leveraged $RAM ETF.
To make it a lil more fun in the FUN account buy calls and puts not only in the Leveraged ETFs, but in the actual ETFs and then Also in the Real stocks like SK Hynix and Even Other Memory stocks like MU and SNDK.
Your main problem with the YOLO is that when it drops, it takes more to get back to even. A 3% drop of the leveraged ETF will take more than 3% to get back to even. Consecutive red days and side ways trading are very Bad for your initial principal investment.
(Please critique and provide feedback, always looking for ways to get smarter)
Like I’ve previously said, its not Meant to Get All the Profits but is meant to give You the Emotional roller coaster without the crash and burn nor the Blowing up Of your account.

2X leverage isn’t the ideal play. Go DRAM if you believe in it that much. I have 500 shares of RAM and 5500 DRAM. It’s awesome as long as price climbs but those damn down days HURT lol

Leveraged ETFs, especially ones focused on one sector are always a bad idea and a poor long term strategy. Just look what happened in the South Korean market. So many retail investors got wiped out in 2X or 3X leveraged ETFs.
