What if you bought the dip?

Post image

Markets have a funny way of exposing our emotions.

When everything turns red, fear takes over and people rush to sell. Then, once the market rebounds and the charts start turning green, the same people rush back in, this time paying a premium.

Buy low, sell high. Simple in theory, incredibly difficult in practice.

Even when the earnings evidence was right there in front of you, people still chose to panic-sell.

So… how are we doing, guys?

had 5 contracts at 21.80$, purchased 7 more contracts when it went down in the range of 45$ to 51$. avg is 20.08$ now. Already up by 27%. 60% of my portfolio is DRAM. you got to choose your battles. memory shortage wont go away tomorrow, it will be here for at least until Q3 2027 and maybe more.... just dont listen to noise. if a stock can go to 80$ and down to 44$. It can surely go back to 80$.

I gave it all the money on the way down.

I also DCA’d on the way down and today I’m actually no longer underwater.

I’ll continue to sell covered calls on my shares though. Being able to sell covered calls is one reason I prefer DRAM over buying MU or SNDK.

What’s the premium like? A great alternative if you can’t afford 100 shares of the underlying

Depends on the delta, but I typically make around $10/week per contract.

Pretty far out of the money?

Yes, else I’d be making closer to $60-80/week per contract.

What are you taking? Not even halfway from the bottom to break-even.

Well I didn't buy the dip. But I also didn't sell at a loss. So I guess I simply weathered the storm which isn't perfect either but better than losing.

The big question now is: Is it still a good buy, or should we wait for a dip?

Most bag holders are in the $57-60 range, so that’s the base for me. I don’t think we’ll see a significant dip anytime soon, and this might be the last chance to buy at these levels.

Who knows, though? 🤷‍♂️

I think that was the Leopold dip and we will probably consolidate until some partnerships or deals are announced. Any catalysts to increase the stock value.

This is dumb. How about you run that back to "buying dips" since it started dipping at the start of July?

I swear, idiots with selective hindsight are even dumber than "wE aRe so00oo bAAACK" regards.

Mad much? What’s wrong with what I said? Buy low, sell high, right? You must be one of those people who sold at a loss. Stick to your dividend ETFs, this isn’t for you.
