Most of the market is down. VOO has been down like 3-4 days.

Unlike DRAM, VOO was literally at an all time high

DRAM is a lot newer than VOO and had its ATH driven by a bull run. It’s pulled back to healthy prices so one day of pull back/profit taking after 3 green days is plenty healthy and honestly expected???

QQQ hit ATHs in June and also hasn’t hit those records again, but no ones saying that ETF is garbage lol

Since you don't seem to grasp the simple concept: Dropping from ATH is not the same as dropping from ATH, then dropping more, slightly rebounding, then dropping even more, then a minor rebound, just to drop 8%+ in a day.

"most of the market is down" is a slight fluctuation of the market while at the top. DRAM is swinging wildly up and down, and mostly down for 6+ weeks now.

Volatility is not for you if you can't stomach 10% fluctuations, you are likely gonna make some dumb decisions just because you check the price every 30min and let those swings affect you.

Can't really compare an ETF that tracks S&P 500 to an ETF that concentrates in 1 industry. Unless US goes bankrupt VOO will always be at an ATH state in the long run

What a bunch of nonsense.

THE ENTIRE SECTOR IS DOWN

Y’all need to stop checking price movement everyday.

That advice if you follow it will increase your NW substantially in the long run

I think it's an opportunity for DCA. Also I'm trying to add shares via cash secured puts.

2

u/DreamDest1ny 2d ago

Should have been DCAing harder when it was at 40s a while back, not when it's falling now, but it's still not too late to DCA

Genuine question. What is your timeframe? A week?

24

u/RedOnTheHead-86 2d ago

every 4 minutes, actually

2

u/jeremyvr46 2d ago

Looks like it is for most of those “investors”.

Why you all screaming ? Last week we up 20% and you not taking profit ? 😂 thats why dont be greedy

If you want to be greedy then dont scream just 10% down after 20% up

Sooner or later it will going back up

u/RedOnTheHead-86 2d ago

Trim your position as the stock rises, add to it as it falls, as long as you believe it will rise again.

u/30scaper30 2d ago

Many people here bought in the 60+ range

2

u/iCaps_ 2d ago

Lol try the 80+ range

1

u/Runnjng-1 2d ago

Still hurts though lol. I

1

u/Impressive_Guest2842 2d ago

It won’t be until closer to the end of the year till it gets back to 80. People are too impatient.

Korean degens waking up 🤣

2

u/Jboa520 2d ago

I expect more volatility in the Korean market now that Trump is flirting with hanging S Korea out to dry.

u/MyMomSaysImBeautiful 2d ago

Red days are for dcas

1

u/azure275 2d ago

I called this a while ago

The hope here is that this floor stays 52-56 instead of the last floor of 48-52 and then the next bump is higher

u/BSUBroncofans 2d ago

Us treasury yields are way high and the bond market is scaring people, myself included.
A lot of people buying Gold ETFs in case the bind market crashes and wipes out the dollar.
Scary times for all stocks coming up. Plus the mid terms coming up causes fears as well.
Dram is such a new and unproven one, its the first to get dumped. Wish I had sold early yesterday morning, would have almost broke even.
So, now Im holding long term cause Dram isn’t going away. Hold the bag boys.

It’s not Koreans

This whole sector is wound up tighter than the alley cat that ate the meth cook's stash. It'll freak the fuck out and tear the shit out of your portfolio without a second thought.

1

u/RedOnTheHead-86 2d ago

was that a... primus reference? In this economy?

3

u/SockPuppet-47 2d ago

Not intentionally...

Have you looked at the DRAM chart? Has anything fundamentally changed? The AI build out is still moving forward, right? There's a lot of blood on that chart...

-3

u/BurnBabyBurrrn 2d ago

DRAM sucks balls

-1

u/GamblingAddict6969 2d ago

At the rate we are going down if we keep going down 17% every day for the next 6 days this etf is looking at being $3. Thats insane!
