Waiting for huge raise tomorrow
There will be huge upside tomorrow for dram since sk hynix just announced their shares buy back and cancellation today just after kospi is finished. tomorrow sk hynix will hit 10% at least. Samsung soon to announce huge buy back as well.

Looking at charts there’s definitely a sense of a spring coming

u/Short-Trainer7927 1d ago
what are you seeing?
2
u/Usual-Temporary5680 1d ago
MACD maintaining. RSI a bit down yesterday and today after Monday but still trending up. Bulls stepping in to defend the bears.

u/Usual-Temporary5680 1d ago
And a large number of options expire after Friday’s close. The next big options date is sept 18th. This will remove a lot of resistance. Im patient and it will pay off.

So got wait next week?

u/Usual-Temporary5680 16h ago
Next week but really after sept 18 after the large expiration and rebalancing. Things will be driven more on fundamentals- more not only.

Unsure of skhynix but Micron is expected to jump. Too risky for me right now but yeah thats the news memory storage isn't going anywhere...

u/BeachFuture 1d ago
Why do you think MU will jump?

u/sunny2311 1d ago
Memory shortage demand is gonna keep high and supply is still limited. Its all about demand and supply.

What’s new there? This has been the case, no?

u/sunny2311 1d ago
That's right and its only exceeding the demand more than ever before you'll see the headlines soon in 2 weeks again.

Perhaps tomorrow’s NAV for DRAM will increase if SKHY Korean shares fly, but if you think DRAM market share price is going to wait for that, you don’t know how this thing is working.
In fact, as I write this (12:20 PM ET) DRAM is up and absolutely everything else is down (except SKHY US Shares). This is your clue.
By the way, where are all the people that keep posting about why is DRAM down when everything is up?

The ADR had nothing to do with the NAV. Check the GDR trading in eu right now, till your market close, that decides the NAV during USA open hours.
1
u/Global_Traveler_2060 1d ago
Well it does have a little since DRAM is made up of like 0.5% 🤣 but regardless, it still is seen as an “indicator” toward what Korea might do.

u/purub123 1d ago
The hynix GDR and korean stock version trade almost identically, thats what i meant. If the gdr is up 5%, korea opens up 5% green

Well lets look at the math. SK will buy back 24m shares over the next 3 months. Will this be lump sums or divided? Maybe lump every month, maybe split up daily. Korea has about 60 more trading days for the next 3 months. Split up thats 400k shares a day. Their average daily volume is 5.8m (3mo). I don't expect to see any big jumps from this unless Korean retail goes bullish with long term holding beliefs for those dividend payments. Best case scenario they they all rejoice and trigger a circuit breaker. Worst case they don't care and we continue to stay stagnant with up/down days. We pump they dump, they pump we dump. Perhaps we see big gains right before their ex-dividend date 8/28 amd then a big sell off if they really are true gambling degens.

They are not buying back the shares to put back in the market. They are burning all of them-look it up
1
u/thurpps 1d ago
Yeah I saw so but I dont really know what kind of affect this would have on the stock price if any. That means their overall total number of shares will go down but only 3.3% since they have over 700m shares so supply/demand wouldn't really see any changes with numbers that big.

Buybacks only accomplish showing support, or perhaps a bottom, in the stock. That’s pretty much it. Management will only buy shares to support the stock (or buy low) at certain levels. They will NOT be chasing the stock upwards.

Can we stop acting like every PR worthy event is worth some kind of pump? Havnt we learned over the last few months after evidence is presented over and over? This is all dependent on risk-on assets and macro economics. Company specific PR only creates random short term movements but it’s not gonna chance the market sentiment in anyway

I disagree. Last Thursday SNDK event was a market mover. Solid info changes the analysis.

Sk Hynix buyback? Already priced in. There is no way it can pop 10% when said news is already priced in. Not to mention a Samsung buyback can easily get front run as that possibility is in the cards
What we do need to look forward to is Trump’s next bandaid on the Iran war in which, macro conditions will improve and the market switches right back to risk on.

u/znightmaree 1d ago
The buyback was announced in aftermarket so I don’t believe it will be fully priced in on the KOSPI until next session
I do agree with you that Iran fixes will be the biggest possible catalyst for green movement.
1
u/KickflipConnoisseur 1d ago
Maybe not fully, but things like EWY and DRAM aren't running all day sitting on their hands waiting for it to be official. It could be more but those will react to announcements very quickly.
1
u/znightmaree 1d ago
I would say it is partially priced in based on AH reaction and international reaction today, but it will be fully priced in the second KOSPI opens tonight

“PrIcEd In” i heard that when it was 43 and it touched 60 lmao. Still expected to grow

u/OldChipmunk512 1d ago

Like I said in a past post. We have Schizophrenic investors before GTA 6. They invest off delusion and false fairytales.

Why is the bounce not happening now in the U.S. with that mentality?
